  1. I believe Flo includes the All-Star in their rankings, no?
  2. When Rathjen got the second takedown, was Bono still yelling about the earlier call or was he mad about something else?
  3. Same thing IMO. I think they consider all matches against B10 competition. Could be wrong though. I would imagine they may even consider matches against non-B10 competition if there’s a tie or something and there are common opponents
  4. While I think they’ll consider CKLV matches (which @bracketbuster seems to agree with based on the 125 records), they will likely give more importance to duals where Van Dee beat Teske. However that probably only matters if Teske is Iowa’s entrant
  5. I don’t think they ignore CKLV matches against other B10 guys. But even if you count the Smith/Ramos match, Ramos still has the best resume and Smith is still in that 4-8 range.
  6. The talk of them breaking the scoring record died down after Van Ness got injured, IMO
  7. Where do you think Teske and Arnold would be seeded if they are Iowa’s entrants at 133 and 184?
  8. FRL mentioned Cassioppi and Assad participated in senior day activities but Brands did not. Maybe he’s back next year?
  9. They’ve been about the same, especially when you consider 30% of what was supposed to be their starting lineup is suspended. Seems like they’re being punished because they didn’t stink like OSU did the past couple years.
  10. I’m still confused why people keep simultaneously saying “OSU has been great” and “Iowa needs a change” when they’re currently projected to finish similarly at NCAA’s and I’d pick Iowa to win the dual…
  11. Doesn’t Yianni sell a shirt with a similar saying? That shirt isn’t as bad as the uncle or whoever that other dude was in those Iowa recruiting visit photos
  12. But are you sure he actually said that and wasn’t just misquoted by a reporter like you claimed when Smith was talking about Fix not wrestling Crookham?
  13. I don’t remember, what questionable calls did he get? Was that the headgear pull by Zahid? Max Dean is probably the title run that most benefitted from questionable calls that I can remember
  14. I don’t know if it’s a significant difference, but that Davis/Kilkeary call was one of the worst in recent memory, so much so that they even admitted it was wrong after the fact.
  15. Wasn’t that a 1-1 match until there was about a minute left? Davis certainly fits in with the rest of 125. He can win it all, he can also go 0-2.
  16. Vito isn’t getting the Hodge, and neither is a 1 loss 165. The only guys that might get a Hodge with 1 loss are Starocci and Brooks.
  17. Correct, but IIRC Nagao kinda admitted he was getting a decent payday, it just wasn’t the highest offer. And it seemed like there was some smoke to him thinking of going to Iowa, so would make sense that PSU needed to offer something. Maybe Mesenbrink never really considered anywhere but PSU, although even his quote doesn’t mean he didn’t get anything, just that it wasn’t a factor in his decision, and the coaches didn’t talk about it (which I believe is technically illegal anyway)
  18. Oops, 107 not 97…
  19. I think Nagao implied NIL was a factor, he just said PSU didn’t give him the “highest” offer
  20. I know you’re joking, but even in that worst case scenario: 125: 0 133: R12 (3 pts?) 141: 5th (10 pts?) 149: 2-2 (2 pts?) 157: 3rd? (15 pts?) 165: 5th? (10 pts?) 174: 1st (23 pts?) 184: R12 (3 pts?) 197: 2nd (18 pts?) 285: 1st (23 pts?) That’s still 97 points and a likely title
  21. Also the owner of a WIN Journalist of the year award
  22. Agree. I think most of the champs could likely win 1-3 matches at NCAA’s (still an impressive feat of course), but an AA would be rare.
  23. Why would getting girls wrestling into the NJSIAA have anything to do with getting his daughter into Princeton?
  24. I wrestled D3, but I don’t really follow it. We’ve had the discussion about D2/D3 guys competing at D1 NCAA’s before, and I’d guess there might be 1 or 2 guys total across D2/D3 that might place low AA each year, but that’s about it. I do still wish they let the D2 and D3 champs into NCAA’s though… I think part of the reason for that is the eligibility clock though. Someone earlier mentioned Shawn Streck. I don’t believe he would still be eligible in D1
  25. That’s why he was at Cal Baptist?
