    There are a lot of unknowns about the financials of Glazier. Maybe he was getting nothing from Iowa so it wasn’t a hard decision to leave. Maybe he was at least getting free rent from Nicolls so he didn’t have to worry about the lease breaking scenario. Maybe he got a good offer from SDSU to offset some, all or more than he was losing at Iowa.

    I'm not sure if it's "what's best," but yeah, I would say that this is pretty much true for any school since the creation of the transfer portal. Again, I acknowledge that what Iowa did this offseason is "worse," but I don't think it has anything to do with Glazier, and moreso the fact that they are now poaching guys that aren't even in the portal.

    Well in relation to the more recent discussion being had, we don’t know if the Brands even had any involvement in bringing Buchanan in. And also in relation to the more recent discussion, you can almost compare this to the OSU coaching situation IMO. All signs pointed to them hiring Coleman Scott, a pretty successful head coach and extremely successful wrestler and alumnus of the school. But a booster said “nah let’s do better.”

    So is it true that coaches are supposed to have no involvement whatsoever in NIL? I think even FRL has made comments about Taylor “not wanting to go crazy with NIL” or something to that effect

    Willie indirectly addressed the Ayala story, essentially calling it “pretty damn accurate.” He did not really address the Hamiti/Hendrickson story but said the poster that made the claims posts “accurate inside info” as much as any poster he’s seen on HR.

    Speaking of boosters trying to replace guys, on HR Willie seems to be implying there is truth to the claim that an OK State booster made an offer to Ayala, although supposedly Taylor nixed it (and allegedly also reduced NIL amounts that Hamiti and Hendrickson had agreed to before Taylor was hired).

    I believe it was mentioned in one of the other threads but another issue was the pages would often refresh themselves for some reason. Also when clicking the x a new ad would immediately popup. All on safari on iPhone. But I have since started using an adblocker since it was very bad.

    I don’t think there are really any others that are particularly active unless you want to join in with a bunch of Penn State fans saying to trust in Cael or a bunch of Iowa fans yelling at the sky. I recommend getting an ad blocker

    Well if you’re saying Ferrari was “expected” to actually compete, then no. But even outside of him Glazier had also lost to fellow Hawkeye Kolby Franklin during the previous season (who did not wrestle in 2023-2024 and appears to have now “medically retired”)

    5th year senior and 2x All American Nick Nevills was also “intentionally displaced” in the PSU lineup, albeit not by a transfer. I agree that what Iowa did this offseason is “the worst” we’ve seen so far, but that’s simply because they’re poaching guys that weren’t in the portal. Doesn’t really have anything to do with the guys losing their spot in the lineup IMO.
