  1. I don’t think they should do it since 4 years of Kueter is worth more than 1 of Gable IMO. But, they could have if they were smart and wrestled Kueter last season. Which likely also would have got them 4th place ahead of ISU if not higher.
  2. Nolf podcast where he announced it. Thought him talking about his favorite matches was interesting (spoiler: I believe he put a junior league match ahead of beating Jordan Burroughs at OTT).
  3. Agree with this
  4. Maybe he can work remotely and avoid all the douchey Wall Street dudes and drugs.
  5. If we’re just talking about “upgrading the spot,” they’ve done it plenty in the past including AA’s, but it’s often been from within or guys transferring in allegedly without being recruited (Dean over Beard, Kerk over Nevills being the two most recent transfer examples, you could maybe add Mesenbrink over Facundo although Facundo technically hasn’t lost any eligibility by being on the bench yet)
  6. They have, but I agree with the overall sentiment that we shouldn’t feel bad for Glazier. Going 1-2 is definitely not going to secure a starting spot. He’ll also be going into his 6th year so if not for the Covid year he wouldn’t even have any more eligibility (although of course neither would Buchanan)
  7. No, I don’t think the wrestling staff is racist, although some of their fans may be a different story.
  8. The university also paid $4 million to settle a lawsuit that alleged racism by the football staff
  9. Of course, just saying he probably didn’t already have one at the time of that post.
  10. They’ll also have at least 3 black guys in their starting lineup, which I know shouldn’t matter but I think is notable given some of the past allegations against their fans (and Iowa’s football team staff)
  11. Or if he gets accused of a crime against a woman they could drop the program.
  12. He does have over 30k x followers, but not sure how much $ that makes. Hate to add to a Jimmy thread, but Mineo did delete the post that Teemer called false. @VakAttack shared it previously, and it said Teemer had already been “given” an apartment. So may have just been an incorrect choice of words (and possibly another instance of Mineo being “mostly” but not 100% accurate), I’m guessing that he was just offered it at that point.
  13. Russia isn’t that good at Greco right?
  14. You might be the first Ohio State fan I’ve ever seen not put a t in front
  15. He seems to know the names so I would guess Facebook
  16. This is what I thought when he started talking about it but at 30:59 he says “here’s the posts and everybody’s name that sued me,” but could have been a Freudian slip I suppose
  17. Two Coleman Scott updates that I haven’t seen discussed here. 1. He appears to have also been hired to coach a youth club at Edmond North in Oklahoma one night a week, in addition to the Ohio RTC job. 2. He did an interview on Intermat a few weeks ago. The most notable part is probably him addressing allegations of financial misconduct against him. TL/DR, he was really pissed about the allegations and that was the reason he was considering leaving wrestling (so, not not getting the OSU job). At first I thought he was just referring to Facebook comments or something but towards the end he seems to mention that someone is suing him?
  18. Thought this was pretty good:
  19. I doubt that has anything to do with it, and I have a feeling he knew all along he was going to try to make this year’s world team. But I bet he retires if he doesn’t make the team, 1 because it’s in Nebraska and 2 because if he doesn’t make the team where Olympians can’t even compete then it’s probably going to be even tougher to do it in the future
  20. Why would they do that? Can Spratley not make 125 of Hughes not make 133?
  21. Is it really a comeback? He just competed 4 months ago, and never announced he was retiring did he? He did however seem to imply he would retire before 2028 by seemingly committing to commentate for LA.
  22. I assume by “right program” you mean one that doesn’t exist yet? Iowa is the only one people currently care about and considering they already have Blades coming I’m not sure adding Elor would really “transcend wrestling.”
