  1. Is Trombley now the starter for NC State? He’s wrestled the first 2 of their ACC duals against Pitt and UNC
  2. At the end of the match Bouzakis walks over to the PSU bench and holds his hand out and kinda moves it side to side for a second waiting to see if anyone will shake it but no one does. But the camera was mostly just on Bouzakis so the PSU guys may have just not been paying attention. They usually only had the camera on the winning wrestler so not sure if any others did, but Rogotzke just went straight to the tOSU bench. I do see that the dual has been uploaded to YouTube if you don’t have BTN.
  3. Eh that’s really just another day at 125. Davis could win it all or he could go 0-2. The B10 could also have 6 or 7 AA’s.
  4. @swoopdown was there…any insight?
  5. I see what looks to be an arm shaking Davis’s hand at 11:05 in that video. Then Ryan argues with the ref and Davis doesn’t get his hand raised until 11:30
  6. The only rule that changed was getting rid of the hand-touch takedown, where a hand touching from a rear standing position (which this was not) was the only situation where no reaction time was given. There has been no change to the rule for all other takedowns needing to be “beyond reaction time,” even though it seems to be extended this year. I know there have been a few other controversial ones so far this year, but most of the others were debatable , this one was clear as day. Even most PSU fans I’ve seen are saying it should have been a TD, and I have not seen a single non-PSU fan actually defend it.
  7. This was Kilkeary’s last date to still be in redshirt right?
  8. Hard to tell for sure but it looks like they did shake hands around 11:00 here - but then Ryan was rightfully yelling at the ref so by the time the ref raised Davis’s hand Kilkeary was gone.
  9. If they have an independent reviewer, you can probably get rid of the second ref. The main additional value they provide except another opinion (which can be replaced by the independent reviewer) is helping with end of period timing (which can also be replaced by an independent reviewer), and giving another angle for locked hands - and even that they screwed up in one match recently
  10. Which ones? I wouldn’t say this is true for any of the 4 teams that were on BTN last night
  11. Tom Ryan politely asking for refs not to review their own calls Kevin Ward/Mark Branch taking a different approach
  12. Uh oh, looks like Minnow being a “paid hater” here
  13. No one wants to watch Will Lewan wrestle for an hour
  14. Fair enough, but I think the difference is double OT matches are just a portion of total OT matches, and the first SV period is pretty self-explanatory. I’m not opposed to criteria overall though. It would also shorten the length of duals and tournaments which would be a good thing IMO.
  15. I think this one did deserve its own thread, IMO. But yeah, the PSU looked human one definitely unnecessary
  16. I will also say I was impressed when Lemley beat Mitch Moore like 5 times in one match
  17. Crooham says hi
  18. Need someone to brighten up that picture. Hard to see with the shadow
  19. You did drop him by a spot
  20. Hopefully they don’t have the same trainer there that “evaluated” Shapiro
  21. Same tweet discussed here Unfortunately, I’d guess @billyhoyle is mostly right. At minimum, this likely will not be not good for any team that doesn’t join the SEC or Big 10, although more probably will.
  22. Nolf likely wins that match anyway. But Hidlay had a takedown
  23. Should we count last night as a loss for Davis for ranking purposes?
  24. Same ref as last night.. Clear NF missed at 6:15, although in the ref’s defense they reviewed this in the booth and did not overturn…
