  1. And it would’ve been 4x if he didn’t absolutely implode against Delvecchio
  2. Jimmy troll thread… He wasn’t beating RBY in 2021 or 2022. He probably never beats Fix either, and never beat Micic after beating him the first time while at Drexel. He wasn’t going to win as a true freshman. His best shot would’ve been this year at 141 if he had redshirted, but then Iowa probably doesn’t have Woods.
  3. 149. Could see Verk stealing a few one point matches, Van Ness making a run to the semis at least and then you have Gomez as the 15 seed
  4. What is the article about?
  5. Correct, that is what happened here unless you consider Ben Askren to be media, and even he seems to be learning. He said “can I talk about the rumor I just heard” and Pyles said no
  6. It was stopping the spreading of unsubstantiated rumors
  7. If by "Flo" you mean Askren... Askren wanted to talk about it but Pyles said it wasn't appropriate.
  8. Honestly my first thought was a different kind of cheating but like I said was I was confused...I know there was some sort of rumor involving Mastro and a Ferarri's GF and/or sister...
  9. I was confused by that as well. Weren't they talking about Oklahoma State just prior?
  10. Well yeah in 2018 and 2019 he had past and future national champs in there, those brackets were probably tougher than most (at any weight). I’ve always been one to defend against the argument that 125 has been “weak” outside of Lee (and Suriano last year) the past few years, but every weight was weaker than it should have been in 2021 because the Ivys could not participate, 125 a little moreso because likely 2 of the top 3 were Ivy. The addition of Glory alone arguably makes this year’s 125 field better than 2021.
  11. How could this be the lightest competition he’s faced when the guy he beat in the finals in 2021 is seeded 10th?
  12. I don't think the smaller conference guys were always necessarily "rewarded"... For example, Murin being seeded ahead of Millner despite fairly comparable resumes (and Millner beating him 8-1 at NCAA's last year). It honestly looks like Murin could have gotten it because of his injury default victory over Yahya, who had beaten Millner (and beat Murin in the dual).
  13. They also had 3 at large selections. But that wasn't really my question. And Socon was just an example, can really apply to almost any conference compared to the B10. For example does 3rd in the ACC get the matrix points over 5th in the B10?
  14. To be fair, it is only 10% of the formula... So how does it work for like 2nd in the Socon vs. 3rd or 4th in the Big Ten? Does the Socon 2nd get the advantage?
  15. Yeah. I wouldn’t pick him over the top 3 B10 dudes, but I was honestly a little shocked he lost to both Orndorff and Lance at NCAA’s last year.
  16. I think Brooks is the main legitimate complaint since there is no one undefeated. They really should make the All-Star match count.
  17. So seems pretty comparable and Hendrickson has a win over the highest seeded guy between the two of them (although that guy may be over-seeded). I could see the argument for Kerk over him due to him beating Cass, but I don't think Cass has a great argument over him unless you're going back to last year results.
  18. It’s not like Hendrickson has had a cake schedule. He wrestled at CKLV where he lost to Parris, he did MFF one match but it was to Slavikouski (6 seed at NCAA’s) who he had beaten earlier in the tourney. Other wins over Schuyler (8 seed), Gordon (13), Nevills 2x (14), Greiss (15), and Crosby (28).
  19. Yeah I just watched that and don’t hate it. Maybe could’ve given it to Poulin a second or 2 sooner but he didn’t really seem to be in control, and at one point Surtin did almost roll through with the cradle locked up.
  20. Unless your name is Josh Humphreys. Interestingly he wrestled in the PSU dual and Haines did not.
  21. It’s like Jimmy was on the seeding committee so he could tell us how PSU was gonna lose
  22. Meh, I thought that at first but it’s really moreso just a lot of parity at 197. Looking at it with the glass half full, all three of the guys that beat him last year (that didn’t graduate) are all on the opposite side (Elam, Trumble and Hoffman).
  23. Thought it was interesting that 8 of the #1 seeds have less than 20 matches
  24. Looks like he’s probably going to need to beat Millner in the second round to AA. If he loses looks like he could have either Mauller or Parco in the blood round. But if he beats Millner his toughest consi match before securing AA is likely Blockhus
  25. Keckeisen beat the guy that beat Brooks, and avenged his only official loss
