  1. This is a good point. Plus it seems like Mason Gibson could struggle getting into PSU’s lineup, and maybe there are some other guys on McCort’s team that aren’t Penn State good but might still be AA contenders (I really don’t know much about the other guys, just speculating). Still, while getting ~50 points from 2 guys will certainly give them a huge leg up for 2nd, they’re probably still going to need about 100 more in order to dethrone Penn State.
  2. Yeah what is the specific rule here? I know their knee (just one right?) needs to be down. It appears his knee might hit but it’s before Chamizo gets behind?
  3. Probably not (he’s a Jr btw), but you’d think the adults around him would have realized it probably wasn’t a great idea.
  4. Yeah, it’s possible (likely maybe) he got it from Vito, I’m more interested in the why he’d actually wear it. As some sort of homage to Vito doesn’t really make sense since I don’t recall Vito ever wearing one, but I could be wrong. And then of course the bigger issue being the optics with right now seeming like not the best time to be wearing that. Which would go back to your point about when Vito gave it to him, since Vito giving it to him in the first place after the war started would seem a bit odd.
  5. Good info, thanks. How well-attended is the OSU weekly Bible study meetup?
  6. So you’re really going with you think Knox wore a Belarus singlet because a guy who graduated from the school he committed to was born there? Even though said guy always goes out of his way to say he’s “from Long Island”?
  7. Do we think Bormet and others have reached out to John Gunderson at UNI? Currently behind Keckeisen but just beat Brands 2x as well as Foca and Lujan
  8. Agree with all of this. Forrest also wore a France one against Rodriguez. Lol this seems like a stretch. Has Vito ever even worn a Belarus singlet in a competition?
  9. He suggested Derek Fix take it to help with his dad bod, according to the official record. https://www.usada.org/wp-content/uploads/Daton-Fix-Consent-Award.pdf
  10. He does have some good wins as mentioned so I’d expect him to start, he finished R16 this year and R12 2 years ago so he should probably be in that range, maybe a shot to low AA — so not really adding a ton of points. Should help them in the ISU dual though.
  11. You can root for them against everyone except for the US, but you should never root for them when they wrestle the US. But I have a feeling many PSU and Michigan fans would root for RBY and Micic if they wrestle Spencer Lee for example.
  12. Are saunas legal now?
  13. I was referring to actual kids living in the Fix house that could have accidentally taken some Ostarine
  14. Might be comparable if they left water bottles filled with vodka around. But we all know it wasn’t actually Derek’s, and probably wasn’t even in an unmarked water bottle.
  15. Check Derek Fix’s public Facebook profile
  16. still “teenage” in 2024 https://tulsaworld.com/sports/college/osu/daton-fix-oklahoma-state-wrestling-career/article_62f960f0-e694-11ee-8703-3b464a0bbb4a.html Yet that pales in comparison to what Fix means to his family, especially his younger teenage siblings
  17. Yes you have
  18. Doesn’t Daton have younger siblings?
  19. Wrestlestat only shows him teching an NAIA guy in an open then MFF’ing out. But my apologies, I read it wrong. Last year was his redshirt year. I saw 2 seasons listed at the top and forgot they are showing 2025 already
  20. I got yelled at when I talked about this in a different thread, but I think it’s a fair question to ask. Again I’m on record as saying guys being able to wrestle and get paid or at least get some of their schooling paid for while they get a graduate degree is one good thing about the free Covid year. But I’ve looked around and it seems a decent amount of the higher profile grad transfers are getting “certificates” and/or are enrolled in masters programs completely unrelated to their undergrad. Of course they all already have undergrad degrees from big name schools which is more than most can say, and several already have graduate degrees which is more than even more people can say, and certificate programs can still be beneficial for their resumes, but I would bet there are quite a few of these guys that don’t actually finish the program they’re in. Of course I don’t blame them if they were getting paid to do it. For example, one of the most prominent recent transfers, who even spent 2 years at his second school, is listed on the roster as a “non-degree student.” At “Transfer U,” of their 5 notable transfers this season, they were only enrolled in 2 different programs, one of them being a certificate and the other being a very different field than most of their undergraduate degrees (although as mentioned some of them did already have graduate degrees from their prior school, and yes it is possible they may actually be more interested in this field than their undergrad major). Interestingly, this particular graduate program probably would have been helpful for the “non-degree student” mentioned earlier.
  21. One name I haven’t seen mentioned is Dagen Condomitti, 157 for Oregon State. He was a top 100 recruit but looks like he hasn’t had any D1 matches through his redshirt + redshirt freshman years
