  1. Or do we have to put up with this nonsense one more year? Bad enough that we have to deal with medical redshirt and Olympic year redshirt on top of the normal redshirt (which was intended to address medical issues in the first place).
  2. There have been many UFC champ wrestlers long before Jon Jones ever came along. Wrestlers both current and past have had more success in fighting than any other base. A wrestling background changes the fight, even if wrestling's not used. Knowing your opponent can take you down at will makes you change your entire fight strategy.
  3. Owning the G League is the ultimate form of support. NCAA football is not a dying sport; it doesn't need the NFL.
  4. How do they not support it? By not supporting it. Rogan mentions wrestling once a year and White has open distain for UFC wrestlers because they're effective but boring. Once college wrestling is finally killed off for good to channel more funds into NCAA football, the quality of fighters will drop significantly.
  5. Chicago has turned out multiple Robinsons and multiple Baileys. When we find a family with good wrestling genes, we clone them.
  6. Doesn't have to be that. Can be something as simple as having their broadcasters ask fans to support their local high school or college team. Mention that Campbell wresting (or whatever program is next) is on the verge of getting cut and needs support. Lots of ways to support that wouldn't cost them a dime.
  7. College wrestlers are the most successful MMA and UFC fighters. College wrestling is also dying, particularly in light of the recent NCAA settlement/roster limits. Why doesn't the UFC support it? Direct financial support would be great - akin to how the NBA supports its G-League. But they could also do so without any cost - by encouraging fans to support their local college programs, encouraging kids to join their high school teams. Why isn't this happening? Seems like a no-brainer given the pipeline of wrestlers who feed the UFC ranks.
  8. Making wrist snaps great again.
  9. Based on Keck's hairline, he assumed he's been wrestling in college for 15 years.
  10. It's the red hair. I prefer fighters who have a soul.
  11. You're quoting the wrong person. I didn't say Bo was overrated.
  12. Want to mix politics with sports? Don't cry when it backfires, Bo. Consequences of your actions and all that...
  13. Whoa there buddy - biggest recruiting announcement of the year? Somebody who has a weekly countdown and loves Jesus would like a word.
  14. I have empathy for people who do things prematurely.
  15. Bailey and Mendez are going to win it all this year, so we can safely call those weights "all-stars" too.
  16. The only thing worse than a drama queen is a drama queen who's better at wrestling than I am at anything I'll do in my entire life.
  17. Why does Flo have so many haters? Is it just the 10 minute soliloquys and occasional poor live feeds or is it something more?
  18. This is Flo punishing him for not doing a weekly elimination countdown.
  19. Will be interesting to see if there's any rust from the time away. Matches with Kirkvliet could be something...
  20. Koll wasn't even there. He was off-campus interviewing for his next coaching job.
  21. True. Some didn't card at all, but they also had waist-high holes in the bathroom wall - not sure why.
  22. I was a late birthday - age 20 at the start of senior year of college. It sucks to be the last one able to go to the bars. Mr. Bassett will never know the struggle.
  23. BigBrog said Basset won't be wrestling high school freshmen because he'll be competing in college opens. If he's wrestling in the high school state tournament, then that's not true. I'm not sure what your post is responding to.
  24. You said he wouldn't be wrestling 14 and 15 year-old kids. If he's competing in the PA state tourney, then he is.
  25. Is he skipping the high school state tournament?
