  1. 100% football. He'll never see the wrestling mat.
  2. The upper weight guys are all pretty much playing football. Even if they say they're wrestling, don't count on it.
  3. Folkstyle can certainly use a few fixes...but that's not one of them. Now try to stay on topic - what can freestyle do to become more watchable?
  4. Limit guys to one turn per takedown and I might start watching. Arujai-DeSantis match is a perfect example of how scoring doesn't accurately reflect skill level differences between the competitors.
  5. 12 months of hiding from the followers of Muhammed is not equally exhausting?
  6. Do they ever try out these rules in live exhibition matches or tournaments? Seems silly to change the rules without first having an opportunity to see how they would operate in a real live match. Sometimes ideas that seem great on paper have unintended consequences that you only see in a real world situation.
  7. Rumor is Brooks moving to 197 with Truax dropping to 184. If someone picks up AJ, we've got two former champs at 197 next season. Who you got and why? Both devout Christians, so I expect Jesus will stay out of it and not play favorites.

    Wow

I scored it as 2 takedown and 3 backpoints for green.
  9. Griffith from Stanford in the portal as a grad transfer?
  10. I would argue that, as long as we have riding time, no top wrestling should ever be considered stalling. It's all offense to earn/secure the riding time point.
  11. Ironic that the thread is entitled "worst stallers" and all the replies list the best stallers. Case in point - Dan Dennis; the kid never stalled in his career, so when he needed that skill set in the last 30 seconds of the NCAA finals, he had no ideal how to stall correctly. Make no mistake - stalling and not getting called for it is a learned skill.
  12. And is this in reference to the poster named Bob Dole or the senator?
  13. That's not the reason. It's because rich kids do better than poor kids (across all IQ levels and levels of test prep).
  14. I didn't want to say anything earlier, but I feel I have to come clean. I am your uncle and everything you say is true. Also, your Aunt Ruth has the clap and cousin Jared got stuck in the neighbor's septic tank again.
  15. I'm sure they are. Doesn't change the fact that Princeton admissions standards means they have a much smaller pool of candidates from which to recruit compared with non-Ivy schools.
  16. How is Princeton getting its blue chip recruits thru admissions? They lower their standards slightly for athletes, but Princeton can't lower them any more than the other ivies, right?
  17. Does this article get written if Spencer doesn't choke in the semis?
  18. Howe's still there and I doubt they'd push out two AAs due to roster cap reasons.
  19. In the old days, NU athletic dept. would help get athletes into the NU grad schools, for example if they were coming back to coach. Not sure if they still have that influence with admissions dept.
  20. Someone on twitter is now starting a rumor that Storniolo may be jumping ship to Oklahoma. Also said something cryptic about Colon's presence at NCAAs? Not sure what that means.
  21. I know they underperformed at NCAAs this year. Is this the kids' way of saying it's the fault of the coaches?
  22. Fargo and Super 32 are the big ones. Any others that college coaches attend or use for scouting (preferably folkstyle)? Do they go to NUWay Summer Nationals or any other NUWay events?
  23. Thank you. I stand corrected.
  24. Great - as soon as I see that bracket, I'll be a believer. Otherwise, we're still at square one - everyone insisting something's true without anyone provide any documented evidence.
  25. Lee's mom's glasses have petitioned for an injury redshirt year.
