  1. "Where are you?" [while looking forward 2 feet over his head]
  2. 6 points?!? 6 points!
  3. Should be 4 pts - same outcome as if bottom wrestler got an escape and takedown. In fact, they should be rewarded for doing it in a more efficient manner; screw it - 5 pts!
  4. Campbell got hit first. Some examples of other sports getting dinged now too. What's the prognosis 4 yrs. from now - just PSU, OSU, tOSU, and Iowa remaining? https://sports.yahoo.com/historic-house-ncaa-settlement-leaving-hundreds-of-olympic-sport-athletes-in-peril-125238713.html
  5. Re AWA dispute, rumor was that Bono wouldn't let Askren use Wisco facilities during covid. I have zero actual knowledge whether that's true. Regardless, if you're the flagship school in your state, you've got the best wrestling club in the nation in your backyard, and they're actively directing their wrestlers elsewhere, you're doing something wrong.
  6. Top uncommited P4P is Blaze. Why we talking about Bassett?
  7. If it's an Ivy and no scholarship involved, then there's nothing to sign and no legal commitment. He's just selecting a college just like every other HS senior out there and can change his mind right up until the college deadline (usually in May).
  8. Rebuild under a new coach. It doesn't happen overnight.
  9. The top of the Arch will provide a better view of the matches than most seats in US Bank Stadium.
  10. I'll still go because I love the atmosphere, but I'll have to re-watch all the matches when I get home (like I don't do that anyways).
  11. Has his deadlift gone up even a single pound?
  12. #1 - the only reason he's still in high school is because he was held back two years. #2 - "trashing a high school kid", as noted by billyhoyle, is exactly what he wants. If there weren't people criticizing, then there wouldn't be people defending him and there'd be no buzz around this moronic "decision" You should be thanking the haters for helping Bassett get the attention he so desperately seeks.
  13. It's not the forum's fault he was held back two years.
  14. Given that it sells out and tix go for 2-4 times face value on stubhub every year, I think you could put it pretty much anywhere and it'd still sell out. May not get the high scalping ticket prices, but the NCAA doesn't get that money anyway.
  15. If you just sit back and wait for bids to roll in, you get the same cities every year. The NCAA could take a more active role, engage in outreach, and encourage/solicit new cities to throw their hat in the ring.
  16. KC was great. St. Louis is always great. Just wish they'd branch out to grow the sport. AZ, GA, NC, TX. They'd still sell out the venue, expose the sport to new people, and give the rest of us somewhere warm to go.
  17. I find it incredible that Sasso may even crack the starting lineup in a room as tough as tOSU after such a catastrophic injury. That alone is an amazing comeback story.
  18. In his first year competing (So) he was 16-2. I think he was pretty good from the start.
  19. So many HS kids are now coming into college with wins over AAs and NCAA champs already under their belt and reaching AA status as freshman. It makes me wonder if development in college is a thing of the past. What are some recent examples of guys who were not good as freshman but reached AA status by senior year? Off the top of my head, Dan Dennis jumps out, but that was decades ago.
  20. Tough not to be a Sasso fan this year. It could be a hell of a cinderella story.
  21. As I recall, ISU didn't have a spot for Gable, so no betrayal. Same with Brands - got passed over for the HC spot for Zalesky. Cael was a different story - pushed out Bobby Douglas, left for better recruiting grounds and cash, and took his ISU recruits with him. That's a true dagger in the back. Cael is better than everyone else at everything and that includes betrayal.
  22. Ferrari doesn't expect him to go up two weight classes - it's the rest of us who'd like to see the match. I also wouldn't call it a fair catch weight if one person's too heavy for it. When's the last time Ferrari was under 190 lbs.? 2018?
  23. There were rumors at one point that Carter was going up to 197. Ferrari made some dumb post on Insta saying Carter shouldn't. Then Carter responded with the dildo pic and challenging him at 190. Bottom line is if they want to wrestle, Carter can always go up a weight class, but I doubt Ferrari can go down.
  24. Strangely called him out at 190, which isn't a weight class and which he knows Ferrari is too big for.
