Here is the list of placers from 2018 - present 2018: Otoguro, Bajrang, Valdes/Chakaev 2019: Rashidov, Niyazbekov, Muszukajev/Bajrang 2021: Shakhiev, Yazdani, Osmonov/Tulga 2022: Amouzad, Yianni, Muszukajev/Bajrang 2023: Muszukajev, Riveria, Mamedov/Tevanyan No repeat champions. Only two wrestlers that have placed multiple times: Muszukajev and Bajrang.

The Iranian was 5th. He lost to Muszukajev and Mamedov. 65kg is deep and these guys all beat each other.

And to do so he beat Tevanyan (2023 world bronze), Bajrang (olympic bronze, world bronze 3x, world silver), Seabass (2023 world silver)

Of course Minnow was blasting out all kinds of crap out saying that Terry wasn’t at the dual because he was mad at Iowa, mad about Nelson’s gambling situation and he applied for UNC job because the relationship is fractured with Iowa. Then I commented on it and said that it was Terry that was at the dual and not Tom and he deletes all his posts about it. LOL if you are not right, just delete it!

Colton Camacho is pretty solid too. He’s not elite but he’s had some nice wins.

I think Taylor is talented enough to slot in at the 8-12 range. I do think bubba would struggle at 174 but may be a better option than Brown Ton.

He has been on my radar since he waxed Vince Cornella with relative ease at U20 trials.

Kannon Webster went for Illinois tonight and got the 20-5 tech fall. Add Jett Strickenberger to my list of guys to watch this year. He won the Southeast open beating Brandon Kaylor in the finals.

I agree that there is much more competition for our kids attention nowadays. This is why it is so imperative to instill morals in children at a young age. Also a reason why I think parents should keep smart phones and social media away from kids for as long as possible. The increase in technology that we have seen has lead to unprecedented levels of depression and anxiety in the youth. The internet and social media tells us that we need to look, act and think a certain way to have joy. It is a lie from the pit of hell.

I think this is a rational take on things. I am seeing more and more cussing just to cuss, rude talk and poor tone used. Tactful disagreement is becoming a thing of the past and set aside for yelling and hurling insults. I see a lot more cussing from the younger generation than I saw in the past, though I do not necessarily blame them. They are just doing what they have been taught at home. For instance, my 5 year old neighbor girl dropped something on the ground the other day and cussed when she dropped it. She did not cuss because she is inherently a bad kid or anything but rather that was the learned response from her surroundings. The "do as I say not as I do" method of parenting/teaching is bound for failure.

I am hoping to see more consistency out of Carlson this year. He had a brutal course load first semester last season and I think that played a big part in his inconsistent results. Vombaur did look tough in that match against Carlson and has had some other nice wins in his career (Biscoglia, Julian Farber, Jack Wagner). Will be interesting to see what he can do as a full time starter.

It does not seem to matter where I go nowadays (grocery store, park, restaurant, home improvement store, etc.), people use vulgar language excessively. Even the presence of young children seemingly has no impact on these people's vocabulary. Teenage children cuss in the presence of adults and even in school. I have family that teach high school and her students cuss in class and have cussed at the staff frequently. It seems as if the art of tact and the principle of letting our speech be seasoned with grace is being lost on many. Thoughts?
