  1. I think that Wittlake is probably a 2.5 point favorite over Arnold at this point for what it's worth. I just think Arnold is going to be very good and could make some noise if he gets the start this weekend.
  2. Rocco Welsh is a stud. I think he could contend for AA honors right now. Same with Arnold.
  3. How do you feel about Cole Mirasola, Rocco Welsh, Tate Naaktaborgen, Luca Augustine? Arnold has a big hit list. If he was wearing a navy colored singlet with a white belt around the middle I think you would have a different feeling about it.
  4. Per Baschamania, Facundo will Olympic redshirt. Have to assume Mesenbrink will be the guy for PSU. Should be fun to see how he stacks up against the top 6 guys.
  5. Here is an excerpt from Nebraska's website on Nash. Read here: https://huskers.com/sports/football/roster/season/2023/player/nash-hutmacher "2023 (Junior) Nash Hutmacher has started every game this season and has set career highs with 33 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss and 4.0 sacks. Entering the Wisconsin game, Hutmacher is tied for the team lead in TFLs and ranks second in sacks. Hutmacher totaled tackles at Minnesota, including an eight-yard sack. Against Northern Illinois, Hutmacher recorded six tackles and 2.5 tackles for loss, which included a half sack. He made two tackles against Louisiana Tech. Hutmacher had three tackles and a quarterback hurry against Michigan. He recorded four tackles at Illinois. Hutmacher was a disruptive force against Northwestern, setting career highs with seven tackles, 2.5 TFLs and 2.5 sacks. Hutmacher recorded three tackles at Michigan State, including a half TFL. He had four tackles against Maryland with a two-yard tackle for loss. Hutmacher is wearing the No. 0 this season, as he was one of 10 Huskers to earn a single-digit number in a team vote selecting him as one of Nebraska's "toughest" players."
  6. I would love to see it. He was an SD HS wrestling great. I was under the impression that he was in the 320-330 pound range for football so I would highly doubt it will happen.
  7. I agree that Turk shot Stoll. The rest of the points you made are at best hearsay. Show the proof. If the oldest two Ferrari brothers did a drive by shooting then why were they not thrown in prison? None of it adds up.
  8. My point being why would Cael blame the Justice Dept for a criminal offense. Did Tom Brands blame the justice department when Seth Gross broke the law? No. These are totally different situations and should be treated as such.
  9. Half of the stuff you stated here is either patently false or speculation.
  10. There is a big difference between committing an ncaa violation (that is legal) and raping a woman or crashing a vehicle while driving under the influence. If you can't see that, I can't help you. The situations are not the same at all.
  11. Hutchmacher?
  12. Are we really supposed to believe that UNI and all of the D2 and D3 schools in Iowa did not have anyone affected by this? I think he has a point to an extent.
  13. 7,6,8,6 finishes for Miklus. His hit list at NCAA's includes Eric Schultz, Ben Honis, Lorenzo Thomas, TJ Dudley, Jacob Holschlag. It appears that Miklus had a propensity to split matches with opponents. He split with TJ Dudley - winning in 2015 at NCAA's and in 2016 dual and losing in 2016 at NCAA's. He beat Nolan Boyd twice in 2015 then lost to him twice in 2016. In 2016 he beat Jared Haught in the dual and then lost to him at NCAA's. In 2018 he beat Preston Weigel in the dual and then lost to him at 2019 NCAA's. in 2018 he beat and lost to Jacob Holschlag at NCAA's and also beat him in the dual. In 2019 he lost to Josh Hokit in the dual, beat him at Big 12's and then lost to him at NCAA's.
  14. Willie Miklus?? Brewer/Ashnault
  15. Also would explain why he was calling the Nebraska-Campbell dual last week.
  16. The term "generational talent" get thrown around a bit willy-nilly for my liking. A generational talent is one whom would be considered the best/most talented of their generation. For this current group of wrestlers I believe the generational talent should be assigned to Gable Steveson.
  17. He was a HEW case. Travelled all over the country from the time he was 5-6 years old. He did rediscover some of that passion for wrestling at UNK and I believe he is coaching HS wrestling now.
  18. Notice the 3rd placer at 103 @Husker_Du

    PSU 125

If the requirement is a 4-year starter with no injures at 125 then pretty much no one is going to measure up. Even looking at Iowa - Spencer was a 4x AA, 3x Champ but had a bunch of injuries, Gilman "only" 3x starter, Clark moved up to 133, McDonough had injures, etc.
  20. McDermott has pinfalled or been pinfellered in 7 out of 8 matches this year
  21. He lived in SD as a kid. I did not lose much in AAU wrestling and was rarely outclassed when I did lose. He made me look like a fool on the mat. He went to apple valley MN for middle/high school and won 5 or 6 state titles. Ended up being a national finalist at Nebraska Kearney I believe.
  22. Just speculation. If they want to see how he measures up against potential AA’a at the weight I think Wittlake would be a good measuring stick.
  23. 125- Ayala dec Kaylor 3-0 133- Whisenhunt dec Rhoades 3-3 141- Woods tf Belton 8-3 149- VV dec Tolentino 11-3 157- Franek mdec Menke 14-3 165- Caliendo dec Olguin 17-3 174- Arnold dec Wittlake 20-3 184- Munoz dec Swafford 20-6 197- Glazier dec Rademacher 23-6 285- McDermott fall Hill 23-12
  24. I personally do not think they would have ranked McGonagle #1 but I could be wrong.
