  1. Nevermind, I just watched a video on it. That thing was impressive! 220 yards is about the equivalent of 10 rock trucks in a single bucket. Crazy. Video below for inquiring minds.
  2. I did a small research project on renewable energy sources for vehicles in college and the only one that made sense from a power output / "environmentally friendly" standpoint was using hydrogen powered vehicles. The problem is that hydrogen is such a small molecule that you need a very specific material for the tanks. Finding a material for the tank that is woven tightly enough to harness the molecule without it escaping is very difficult. At the time, the best material they had to use for the tanks was platinum and it is just not feasible for widespread use.

  4. It’s my understanding that Jacob will compete for Cornell this year and entered as a grad transfer to use his remaining year of eligibility at ASU for the 2024-2025 season.

  6. 157/165 pound version of Vito

    UNC

A combination of those two things. UNC being his alma mater is definitely a big draw.

That and the fact that Stanford is still looking for a conference home. If they can't get a conference deal squared away for football its possible that ancillary sports go on the chopping block again. Plus, who really wants to live in the dumpster fire that is California?
  9. My personal Mt Rushmore would be Johnny Cash, Marty Robbins, Alan Jackson, Merle Haggard
  10. Tony Ramos started at 125 and won a title at 133 Jordan Leen started at 149 and won a title at 157 Suriano started at 125, won a title at 133 then went down and won a title again at 125 Dustin Kilgore started at 184 and won a title at 197 Max Askren did the opposite and started at 197 and dropped to 184 as a senior to win a title
  11. I'm sure there are a ton of other examples. Here are a few Jayson Ness started at 125 and won a title at 133 Frank Molinaro started at 141 and won a title at 149 Cassar started at 197 and won a title at HWT Cory Clark started at 125 and won a title at 133 Max Dean started at 184 and won a title at 197 JP O'Connor started at 149 and won a title at 157 Kyle Snyder started at 197 and won 3 titles at HWT Nino started at 184 and won a title at 197 Ashnault started at 141 and won a title at 149 Bubba Jenkins started at 149 and won a title at 157 Jake Herbert started at 174 and won 2 titles at 184 Damion Hahn started at 184 and won 2 titles at 197
  12. When I looked into it a couple years ago the payback period was like 20-25 years.. Not a great investment.
  13. Correct. The 1-2-3 punch of Devos-Berge-Sloan will be fun to watch in duals.
  14. How skewed is this assessment based on freestyle results from Alirez and Barlett? Bartlett may have unlocked something but he was clearly a tier below Woods last year. Alirez and Woods were a toss up with Alirez hitting an amazing leg vine throw being the difference. Tier 1: Alirez, Woods Tier 2: Barlett, Hardy, Cole Matthews Tier 3: about 20 guys
  15. I would consider Alirez vs Woods a toss-up match. Those two have shown to be a cut above the rest.
  16. I think Shapiro can beat any of those guys. He is really, really good.
  17. Ridge Lovett is probably preseason #1 if Sasso is moving up.
  18. Ribeyes on the Pit boss tonight
  19. Euro beauty pageants?
  20. Boys dad left home and gave him a girls name. Because of his girly name he was picked on all the time and rather than being the butt of all the jokes he learned to defend himself and became quite the fighter. He searched for his old man and eventually found him. His intent was to kill his old man for giving him that awful name. They got into quite the scrap and just when he was going to kill his old man, the old man explained his side of the story, resulting in a reconciliation of sorts between the father and son. With a renewed understanding of his fathers reasoning the son does not kill the father but vows to give his future sons a manly name (Bill or George , anything but Sue).
  21. Folsom Prison Blues is a song about making a bad decision (shooting a man) and how much it sucks to be in prison watching trains go by and thinking about the freedom that others enjoy while you are locked up. Hardly an endorsement for violence, quite the contrary in fact, but nice try.
  22. You can bet your bottom dollar that the establishment will be pushing hard to get this squashed before it gets too much momentum. These career politicians have insane portfolios (from insider trading knowledge - which of course you and I would go to prison for).
