  1. Haines
  2. @nhs67 add in the Mirasola brothers both at 92kg
  3. Are you related to my guy @jajensen09 ?
  4. The dual will be in Brookings Dec 1. I plan to be there and it should be a close dual. Wrestlestat has it 19-12 for the bad guys.
  5. She was prepared because she clearly had the questions for the debate ahead of time. I would not be one bit surprised if her team is the one that wrote the questions and gave them to ABC! Trump had to debate against her and the two moderators. It was completely ridiculous.
  6. I think you are correct. Haines likely slots in behind Garvin.
  7. 2024-25 SDSU Jackrabbits 125- Tanner Jordan (returning AA) 133- Derrick Cardinal (returning NQ) 141- Caleb Gross / Avery Allen 149- Daniel Kimball / Avery Allen / Cade Siebrecht (I think Martin with take a medical year) 157- Cobe Siebrecht (I think Swenson will take a medical year) 165- Drake Rhodes 174- Cade Devos (returning AA) 184- Bennett Berge (returning AA) 197- Zach Glazier (returning NQ) HWT- Luke Rasmussen
  8. Hard to imagine Whiting down at 165. I can see 174 but man, 165 would be quite the cut even is he is walking around at 180 now. This will be a very balanced dual team for Minny. TBD on how well it will translate to march. The could have 5 AA's with a couple of high placing AA's (Flynn with the insanity of 125, McEnelly being the most likely to make a high podium push in my mind) or they could walk away with 2 or 3 low AA's total. Have you heard anything on how Wells has been looking? I would not be surprised to see him make a leap this year.
  9. Hard to see either Swiderski being okay with redshirting. Sounds like he is a wild man so perhaps they will have him to use his eligibility while he still has it.
  10. Any guess on the postseason lineup? Particularly 125-157
  11. He is hired at Cal Baptist. Along with Mark Munoz.

The pre-coffee hours of the morning are always more difficult haha.
  13. @nhs67 A couple things that stand out at each weight or questions I have based on your observations. 61kg - As much as I am a fan of watching Desanto, I cannot see him beating Fix/Vito so I think he slides into the tier 3 slot. It is possible that the youngsters (Forrest/Blaze) make a tier 2 push but I think you have them slotted correctly for now. When was the last time Gross or Nahshon beat Fix/Vito? 70kg - I would move Alirez to Tier 2 and all the those below Tier 3 up one tier. It is possible that Alirez is just too small for 70kg and perfectly sized for 65kg though... I am very interested to see how Larkin and PJ Duke do against this competition. I would move Paniro up one tier as it is hard for me to picture him losing to Abas or Sheets but I could see him going with the Tier 2 guys. 79kg - I would combine Tier 1 and 2. Something seems to have really clicked for Hunter Garvin but I think you probably have him tiered properly considering that Wick is at least 4 feet taller than him. I would slide Joey Bianchi down a tier. 92kg - I hate to say it but Downey has to be at least Tier 5 but probably should be Tier 4. Taylor did not kill Zahid at final X 2022 so it is possible that Zahid should be Tier 2. That being said, if it is true that DT size for 86kg was a problem then he would be significantly bigger than Zahid.

First of all, Stanich and Crookham are on the same team so only one can wrestle 133. Second, Davis and Nagao are on the same team so only one can wrestle 133. Third, Davis is not an AA. I agree that it is a tough weight with a lot of depth but it does lack those top end guy that we have seen the last few years (i.e. Vito, RBY, Fix). Now, maybe Crookham/Bailey/Ayala will end up being those guys. Time will tell.
  15. Or he is betting $300k that AJ cannot ever make 190lbs

It will have a lot of depth but you are losing Vito and Fix.
  17. Is Dylan hurt or something?
  18. Nothing to be ashamed of in Kueter’s match with Iran. 4-2 for Iran but it was a good match. Iran is a top 3 heavyweight in the world behind Petri and Zare.
  19. Naturally. They weren’t going to forfeit the weights if that is what you mean.
  20. I think Avery Allen will push for a spot at 141/149. 141 and 149 are pretty open right now. I think Gross and Daniel Kimball are probably the front runners for those spot as of right now. I believe the plan is to redshirt Logan Swenson this season. Rhodes is the favorite for the 165 spot but Gaynor will push for it as well. Gaynor has wrestled some closed matches against high level competition but has been unable to get over the hump to this point. HWT is Rasmusssen's spot to lose.
  21. Yeah he's definitely a bust. Him beating Ashnault as a 17 year old is the cherry on top of his bust cake.
  22. Nope. The transfers fit nicely in for SDSU. Cobe can fill in for Swenson while he rehabs his knee and we really did not have anyone of note at 165 or 197 with Sloan and Cook graduating. The SDSU coaching staff values have a tight knit team and would not bring in guys at the expense of team chemistry. Go Jacks!
  23. Medical redshirt likely for Swenson and Martin.
  24. It was just Penn State. He was a hidden gem so no one else saw the talent.
  25. Yes, that was a shameful display. If Duke could have figured out a way to score that body lock he could have blown the match open. I still think that grounding is the worst rule in freestyle wrestling and needs to be done away with.
