I would not be surprised to hear of McComas competing with Witcraft and possibly even beating him right now but I think he could benefit from a redshirt. Cael Hughes is a huge recruit for the Cowboys. In my opinion it is more important to get Hughes at his ideal weight.
Kharchla was a huge 165 pounder and a big 174 pounder. Hepner was an average size 165. If Welsh and Rogotze redshirt it would make way more sense to have Shumate go 184.
If Young has actually grown into the weight then he could be a problem for Fish. He has a lot of nice career wins but all at 141 with the exception of a couple decent wins at 149 last year.
Still, Hepner is a NQ level guy. To be almost dead from gun shot wounds to being able to beat someone as good as him him and earn the starting spot would be an amazing comeback. Does that mean that Kharchla is going 174 and Welsh redshirt or Carson rides the bench?
Imar's were both at 157. Taylor had 1 at 157, 1 at 165. You can come up with a similar list at most every weight I am sure. When WKN post's the results I think it will be pretty similar across the board.
Haines wants to wrestle. He won a title last year and just beat one of the best wrestlers in the country and the favorite at 174. No way they keep him on the bench in my opinion.
