  1. Some other options to consider: 184- Sinclair, McEnelly 197- Mirasola, HWT- Kueter
  2. Good win for Aedon tonight.
  3. Roark is going to slot in very nicely for TJ after this season for my Jackrabbits.
  4. Little Rock
  5. To be fair, block only has 3 career matches.
  6. If AJ keeps winning, he will move up. While AJ is a very good wrestler and his 2020 tournament run was very good (beat Sloan - Warner - Amine - Nino en route to a title), he never touched the dominance of Gable. We also watched (albeit in freestyle) Gable make very light work on Mason Paris (2023 hodge trophy winner) when he last put on his shoes. Much different than AJ going to OT and getting DQ's and losing.
  7. How about the data point of AJ losing to Glazier last year?
  8. A few guys missing for VT. Injuries? No Hippolito, Wolak or Mullen.
  9. 125- Peterson dec Meza 3-0 Iowa 133- Ayala dec Frost 6-0 Iowa 141- Redding dec Block 6-3 Iowa 149- Parco dec Ech 9-3 Iowa 157- Teemer dec Johnson 12-3 Iowa 165- Caliendo tf Euton 17-3 Iowa 174- Kennedy mdec Riggins 21-3 Iowa 184- Arnold dec Bockman 24-3 Iowa 197- Buchanan dec Carrol 27-3 Iowa 285- Bastida dec Kueter 27-6 Iowa Seems way to one sided for Iowa but that is how I see each individual match going. 125 through 149 are all true toss ups. Also looking forward to 184 through 285. The two large favorites in the dual are Iowa at 165 and 174.
  10. He has a wide variety of attacks. Fun to watch!
  11. There will probably be at least 6 guys next year that are AA level sitting on the bench or in redshirt.
  12. I would certainly think so. Would not make any sense otherwise.
  13. Or better yet, abolish SS and let the private citizen have control of hir or her own money.
  14. I believe that they were running the cog which is the railway that leads up Pikes Peak. Not sure exactly where they were running but there are some hiking trails and such that lead up Pike Peak.
  15. Why would he not count?
  16. 1 - Yes 2 - I’m not sure but I would not think so.
  17. BTN+ is offering a pay per view option for the Iowa - Iowa State dual. $9.99 to watch the match. See link below. https://www.bigtenplus.com/en-int/livestream/iowa-st-vs-iowa-iowa-corn-cy-hawk-series/1836164?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR2Y1osJsiE-YNmH4YVHMIE1Ags6Z3X4fC0qKulQLVDcAYELo-OPo4Nw_KQ_aem_QcalXQq2cWvK8d-uG5Xv9Q
  18. I agree that 165 would be the most likely upset. They wrestled twice last year and both matches went to OT with Caliendo winning both. I would expect Caliendo to win those one again but the margin is very thin. This match will be second semester in CHA so that should be factored in. We will know a lot more about the cut for Block, Hughes and Jamison as the season goes on. Last season the second semester was very rough on Jamison and he was just not the same guy. Will we see the younger wrestlers make leaps as the season progresses? Each team has some younger wrestlers that could continue to improve. For Iowa; Kale Peterson, Ryder Block, Gabe Arnold, Ben Kueter. For OKState; Troy Sprately, Cael Hughes, Tagen Jamison. Will any of the true freshman come into play? Angelo Ferrari and Cody Merrill come to mind. It will be a tight dual.
  19. MM's 8-5 win over Bear Claw was his closest match last year outside of his loss to Carr and close win over Hamiti (who is up at 174). It does not appear that MM has ever wrestled against Julian Ramirez or Peyton Hall. Both of these guys are capable of giving fits to the best of the best (KOT and Carr). Bear Claw's familiarity with MM likely keeps the match closer than the usual MM match and if you are close at the end, you have a fighters chance.
  20. I kept on hearing how Sprately has jumped level over the summer. Either everyone else has also jumped levels or Sprately appears to be pretty much the same guy he was last year.
  21. They will be favored in 5 out of 10 weight classes by my count. 125, 141, 174, 184, 285.
  22. Is he competing for them? I have not seen him in any of their early season results.
  23. Is he wrestling for Princeton this year? He was a big recruit coming out of high school.
