  1. Even Republicans in Congress are starting to oppose these tariffs and Trump. The cracks in Republican unity are forming and CHINA SMELLS BLOOD!!!!! Also smelling U..S. weakness. China is a MUCH stronger economy than they were, even 7 years ago when Trump started the first trade war. I think I read that only 3% of their GDP is exports to U.S. They can get plenty of food domestically and from other countries. They now export all over the world. U.S. DOES NOT HOLD THE CARDS!! I think they should quickly dump all their U.S. treasuries. See how the wingers would like that.
  2. Sex ed is very basic and fundamental part of life. It should definitely be taught in public schools and ANY school that receives ANY public funding.
  3. ....or the wingers Trumptards are the ones that love the straw man thing and we just point it out.
  4. I"m literally enjoying some popcorn as I write this. The day ended up being a little different than it started, huh? Tee he he he
  5. They're much more unified behind their leadership than we are.
  6. I get it, I think. Yah; that probably is 104% increase.
  7. That's exactly my thought. Responding to something that outlandish isn't worth my time.
  8. They'll continue to fight. They are much more diversified and resilient and stronger than they were 20 years ago. They have trade relationships w/ other countries. Meanwhile, we the ones trying to fight the whole world at once. They also hold a huge portion of our debt and could decide to sell it all at once. That would be a financial disaster way beyond what we're currently dealing with. If you think we're ones holding all the cards, you're drinking too much of that red Kool Aid. When I say "we" I actually mean "the wingers" because I'm not on Trump's side at all on this one. Right is right, even if it hurts me financially.
  9. Exporters typically absorb a lot of those costs at first. If the tariffs stick, they eventually get 100% passed on to the consumers.
  10. I'll admit that they went way too far with their "wokeness." WAY too far. They should have stuck to their high ground; their core values.
  11. Stood their ground, like I said they would. Trump now imposing 104% tarriffs. These people don't put up with bullying. I hope they take this to the hilt and NEVER BACK DOWN!!!! Chinese people and leadership: if you are reading this, I want you to know that most people here no longer support this clown. I support your right to fight back to bullying. Also, many right-wing legislators are talking about striking down his tariffs since Congress is supposed to control this. OPPOSITION INTERNALLY IS GROWING. He is WEAK!!!! I think you should retaliate yourself, AGAIN. 200% TARIFFS ON U.S. PRODUCTS!
  12. You're coming in peoples' yards when you take their freedom away, and also their voice in govt (e.g. checks and balances). That's what's happening, and that's why the violence is growing.
  13. Nice strawmen argument First, not every country. I said, "in general." Second of all, I'm talking about this one specific aspect of culture. 3rd, I'm actually talking about the "far east." The area where China is, since that was what I was referring to; Trump's bullying of China. I didn't clarify that, but since you want to make a huge issue about it, I'll clarify that. Yes, on average, they put up with bullying and direspect less than U.S. cowards. I was stationed in Korea for a year when I was in the military and traveled around over there.
  14. Mastiffs are tough dogs but an average mastiff won't beat an average pitbull in a fight, despite their weapons. Pitbulls have the heart. It's the fight in the dog; not the dog in the fight. One side knows that it's standing up for justice, freedom and the Constitution. KNowing that provides a lot of resolve. Yah; a lot of people on the left don't own guns. That can change pretty quickly though, too.
  15. You'll get a lot more than you're bargaining for if you want to start something. I'll just put it that way.
  16. A lot of the wingers think they're "tough guys" with their guns, pickup trucks and body odor. They underestimate the resolve of the left. If they want to start a civil war, they're going to get a lot more than they're bargaining for. I'll just put it that way.
  17. Yup. It was heard loud and clear. The left is ready to fight too!!!!!!! Many are saying "Bring it, if that is what you really want!" Trump has repeatedly violated the Constitution and is trying to be a dictator. Social unrest, including violence, is inevitable when that happens.
  18. Just did. I spent a year over there. The cultures are different from each other but they have some things in common, in general. This is one of them. Go to any country over there and try to bully somebody around. They're much less likely to back down than cowards like Trump is used to dealing with.
  19. No, they're not. At least to us. They're standing up to the bully though. Saving face and not putting up with disrespect and not showing disrespect are a big part of the Asian culture and Trump should have researched that before publicly disrespecting them. It's not like the numerous cowards we have here in the U.S.
  20. Agreed. We should put more resources toward taking care of our veterans. Use some of that fat money going to contractors and use it on veteran care instead.
  21. Market is tanking again, FAST! LET'S GO CHINA!!!! Continuing to stand up to the bully and not backing down. That's inherent in their culture and obese diaper Donny is now finding that out. Gotta get some popcorn now!!!
  22. I've heard an incredible amount of rhetoric from the wingers about taking up arms and getting ready for civil war if Harris wins, etc. Not to mention the countless violent acts that they've already committed, such as the Jan 6 riots. I'm not surprised that some people on the left are ready/willing to stand up to them.
  23. Still WAY down since he took office. China needs to hang tough. LET'S GO!!!
  24. I've done nothing. A lot can still happen, especially since these tariffs aren't even legal. There was no national emergency, which he had to declare, to implement this.
  25. Primary or secondary, tariffs have a well established history of not being effective, particularly when they escalate to a trade war. That's almost always a net loss for everybody. These are much higher than the tariffs on the u.s. They're based on trade deficits rather than what we're actually being charged.
