  1. I don't see a problem with personal protective equipment but I'm not even going to go that far because you folks typically make claims without substantiated info to back it up.
  2. You're assuming that everything you read on right-wing whackjob propaganda sources is correct. You folks are unreal.
  3. Weird. I guess that's the Trump Regime's fault that they're still funding them. If they're getting the money from this regime, is it illegal for them to use the funding to provide personal protective gear to people that could save them from injuries? That is, assuming that your conspiracy theory is even correct.
  4. I'm not going to waste my time responding to bogus propaganda from "right angle news network." Once you have something legit, then maybe we can talk. Either way, I'm not getting excited about "face shields." I'd want some protection too if I was around all these trigger-happy troops that are clearly escalating the situation. Better that than losing an eye. When will you ever learn that the wingers really aren't truthful about anything. The only question is HOW FAR they are bending the truth.
  5. The LA protests didn't get really bad until AFTER Trump escalated the situation. That's also what caused the protests to spread nationwide. Lesson here is that it's better to only use the force that's absolutely necessary to handle a situation.
  6. LMAO. I suppose George Soros is the guy paying them to protest, right? The winger conspiracy theories are a dime a dozen. Nonstop.
  7. Well, yah. For his birthday too. I've participated in military parades myself and we didn't typically carry loaded weapons and use "force" against protesters as part of those parades.
  8. Maybe he can bring in active duty marines again to deal with protesters.
  9. Nice spin. He said protests. He either meant that or he's really dumb to not add the context. Period.
  10. He's on video saying it. Hard to spin that.
  11. Seems REALLY dumb for him to even be making such a threat, unless he WANTS to agitate people and have an excuse to use force. Create a crisis, just like he did in LA. Then take credit for it after it inevitably simmers down.
  12. Wow. Wish I was near there. He doesn't like free speech, huh? Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Um style.
  13. Ai answer: AI Overview +5 Yes, the test scores of special education children are counted in statistics, particularly in reports related to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). However, the inclusion of these scores can have a specific impact on overall school proficiency levels, potentially leading to a slight decrease in the overall score.
  14. I would think some of them (maybe not all) are included in avg test score numbers and the costs are also included.
  15. I know you're trying to be funny or something but it affects both the test scores and costs. The most special needs kids typically get transported to the larger urban schools that can meet their needs. Their cost is significantly higher (to put it mildly) than a typical kid. Then these charter schools don't take in any special needs kids whatsoever (rural public take in some mild cases) so they have low costs and higher test scores and that's why they can brag that they're doing much better work for less money. It's all a crock of lies, just like everything else coming from the wingers.
  16. It got WAY worse since Trump sent in thousands of soldiers, unwanted by almost everybody in the state. Who could have guessed that would have happened?
  17. I support freedom and value the principles of the Constitution and Founding Fathers.
  18. Wrong. It's all protected under the 2nd amendment. Let's just go all the way and allow people to own 50 cal machine guns, tanks, missiles and even nuclear weapons. ANYBODY. They gotta be able to protect themselves when an army of 100 soldiers all converge on their home at once.
  19. More "efficient." Wingers have been saying that for decades now. How "efficient" can it possibly get? What specific cuts are you willing to make? Let me guess - Planned Parenthood, DEI and USAID. Between that and "cutting the fact," I suppose you think we'll come close to balanciing the budget?
  20. EVERYBODY needs to pay more in taxes.
  21. Cost of living is much lower in poor rural areas than poor urban areas. Not an apples to apples comparison. The urban schools also typically are forced to deal with more special-needs kids while the smaller town schools aren't, not to the same extent at least.
  22. From AI: The United States has a more expensive healthcare system than Canada. In 2022, U.S. healthcare spending averaged $13,493 per person, while in Canada it was $6,319 per person. This means U.S. healthcare costs are roughly double those in Canada. I do agree that the U.S. system is great for billionaires though. Waits are too long in only extreme cases because they triage who gets the care that is limited, such as organ transplants, etc. Some of that happens here in the U.S. too. I'd gladly risk having my healthcare triaged in an exteme situation for my healthcare costs to be half of what they currently are (health insurance costs from me and my employer and Medicare taxes combined).
  23. Yah; and they can actually get decent care up there at a reasonable cost. Hopefully they don't bring fentanyl with them if they come back. I heard that's a huge problem with Canadians.
  24. They're late teens and early 20s. I want what's best for them. That's for THEM to decide but I'm willing to provide input. I'm good w their decision in the end. I have more keeping me here right now than they do. That's typically the case for younger people in comparison to older people.
  25. How did Gov Evers (here in WI) "break the law?"
