Kasak is a hoss but imagining him going from 141 to 165 would be pretty crazy. That being said he seems pretty big for 157 so maybe thats in the cards.

Transitive property is not a good metric especially in different styles but I think Kasak wrestled Taylor much better than Duke did. I would also say duke is a bit better at freestyle than he is at folk. Kasak did wrestle Taylor before he went on a heater so he could just have more confidence and be a better wrestler now. All that to say I am not penciling in PJ to start like I was a month ago.

Joey may have 2-3 years of u23 eligibility left I think he was an 18 year old freshman and never used a RS. I am really interested if after levi graduates this year if we see MM go up and perhaps Joey joins his brother to wrestle 165 at PSU. If Duke can hold 157 its a pretty seemless fit because James can red shirt and then go 165.

The general consensus for a long time seemed to be not that you did not compete for medals until after college but that you did not compete for a world team spot until then. I believe we have 6 of our 20 final x spots this year filled by guys with u23 eligibility still this year which is absolutely insane.

Marcus has 2 wins over Jax a win over Luke 5 wins over national champs 3 wins over world team members and has gone 3,2,3 at world team qualifying events. Jax has 2 wins over world team members 3 wins over national champs an old win over Luke and Marcus. PJ has 2 wins over national champs no wins over former team members (did win a bracket with one). I think recency bias leans Jax and PJ a bit however I think overall body of work leans Marcus a smidge still. I do agree PJ and Jax have a lot more ways to score though. Marcus feels like he could develop some pretty prolific offense and already has world class defense. The only offensive points he gave up the entire tournament were off a forced shot against Jesse with about 25 to go and he definitely has some growing to do to be a full 65kg. What is really insane is that in 2028 the 65kg field likely looks like Jax Marucs Valencia Mendez Hardy Bassett Woods Vito Davino Larkin Lovett? Henson?

Gimme Blaze over PJ but I think the first 3 are all at least a tier separated from Bassett.

Feels like yianni's pace and output may be too much but PJ is good at slowing guys down and can score in bunches should be really fun.

PJ is so strong for his age really incredible. Andonian has made crazy strides the last few months excited to see him for the next quad.

Feels like those stoppages really hurt Hardy in that one. Real seems to have a lot more offense than Mckenna so hoping he takes that one at final X.

PJ seemed to be the favorite to at least make the finals in this bracket. I actually thought he would have less issues with both guys at least in freestyle. Antrell I believe took 4th at the u20 open last year. He is an absolute freak but so far nothing he has done has changed my outlook on him.

If he is unable to get your hands on the mat he does not seem to have much offense. Decent outside step but marcus fed him hips every time and hardy wanted him to be there.

Marcus's ability to stay in the hand fight there while being undersized is pretty remarkable.

I am optimistic about Rademacher his win over the Cuban at pan ams was pretty impressive that guy is probably top 20 in the world caliber. I am not sure though that he is a medal threat by 2028 he would still need to make pretty big strides year over year.
