picking winners of 1-8?
-
I think one thing worth noting is Pj weight in at 172.0 on 1/25 this year for a tournament. Obviously he is getting down to 70kg so he was not cutting to to make 170 +2. He is a true senior though so I do wonder how easy it will be for him to make 157 week after week next season. That being said I do agree if he wants to go next year he will be the guy.

Report was resisting arrest 0.225 BAC not @BAC he made a mistake which everyone does it certainly should not define him. Given he is an expendable asset at this point though they may choose to make an example of him.
-
I worry about him being big enough in 2027 with the rate he is aging backwards, he could be an infant by then.

I think it matters where these guys are going, and the current lineup fit. Lockett,Robiedau,Vega,Ramirez (if he holds 125) to me all have the ability to be 4-year impact guys. On the PSU side of things while Cunningham,Perry,Henckel,Desmond are all great I just do not think you get a ton of years of production out of those guys. Blaze and Duke is probably as sure of a bet of big points right away as you will get but I am super high on Vega,Robideau,Lockett and I think you probably get more cumulative value out of that class given where they fit into the lineup.

I am going to have egg on my face for sure, but I do not know if I have Kyle top 3 at 86kg at this point in his career. I think Parker and Carter can both beat him, and I think it may not be competitive with Zahid. I would absolutely love to be wrong him making the team at three different weights would be absolutely incredible. As far as our chances of medaling or winning gold I am not sure Zahid can beat Ghasempour maybe because DT has done it and can coach him up, but I do not see anyway Kyle generates against Ghasempour in a final setting he would be giving up at least 20lbs.

I do not think wrestling monthly is necessarily beneficial, but I also do not think only wrestling trials and worlds is beneficial. Russia generally at least sends their best guys to Euros and then they wrestle Russian Nat's. It feels like one big competition per quarter at least for younger athletes is a good medium ground. Brooks for instance seems like someone who would benefit to more international exposure. As a fan of the sport, I would like guys to compete all the time I think NLWC may be a bit extreme with their lack of competition but it's also athlete dependent Dake and DT never competed outside of when they had to whereas Snyder competes a lot. They also for the most part have a much older team and guys like Zain and Gillman were probably limited in how much they could compete because making weight sucked for them and doing so more than they had to just did not make a ton of sense.

anyone have a link?

I would love to see a semi functional Nic bouzakis at 125. I also cannot unsee Mccrone backpacking Kilkeary in the wrestle off and I am not sure that is going to change. Birden needs to develop some offense, if he does, he could be really good.

If they have Greco aspirations, they should go to Illinois if they want to do both or freestyle, they should probably go to Iowa if its only between those two. The main argument is Iowa burns people out and breaks their bodies down. There is definitely a lot of examples to point to that. Jordyn is coming off an ACL tear so you could look at it like Spencer has had 3 tears don't go there... or who better to train with and learn from than a guy who has gone through it multiple times and nearly gotten back to the pinnacle of the sport. Also, bringing those two in with Mocco and Bassett + likely 4 years of Deluca makes them a title contender and that would be a great thing for them to be a part of. Not that Illinois could not contend for a podium spot with them, but they certainly will not have the bullets in the chamber or the funds to buy ammunition that Iowa has.

Ono vs Crookham or Ono vs Hardy depending on weight both guys will test how he adapts to folk. Lockett vs Caliendo and if he wins that Messenbrink Duke vs Kasak at black knight Ryder vs welsh Vrob vs Lilledahl Blaze vs Mendez Facundo vs Haines -

Beat Merrill and Mcdaniel (once by tech) and went 6 minutes with Atimukhan (senior world champ) all as an 18 year old over the summer. I think he was still growing into the weight as a true freshman I am expecting huge things this year. His best win in folk to this point is probably Merrill 4-2 but as mentioned that's more takedown than Buchannen got against Merrill. Credentials wise he is not there, but I think he may be in terms of trajectory. -
The correct answer was... Nowhere.
-
I think he was a top 10 recruit for that entire class and only qualified once which was when he was round of 12 I know he had a lot of injury issues though.
-
He and his brother were two of the bigger flame outs I can remember. Keshawn hayes is also up there.
-
They gave Zo the head RTC job I assume that may be why he left.
-
down goes sidakov 4-2 Valiev.

Using a gym term but I don't think they do "junk volume". Seems like they are very efficient in the work they do.

My thought process behind this is that it sounds like he trained with Ryder a lot and obviously use to train with David a ton. I was wondering if he would want to continue training at NLWC with those guys gone as well as having Carter likely gunning for the 86kg spot. Obviously Zahid will be as well and as of now I would expect Zahid to be the tougher match but that may not be true in 3 years. If he opts to go 79 into 86 I think training with zack,David,Dee,Brayden,Zahid,Facundo may be a bit better for him with NLWC bringing in Rocco who likely goes 79 at least until the olympic year. The more I type and think about it the more I feel like moving probably does not make a ton of sense besides getting back some familiar partners as well as some new ones. For his weight though I feel like Stillwater may have more options right now than happy valley at least assuming he goes up with no change in weigh in rules.

Japan goes live for an hour and thats pretty much the entirety of their practices you just go with a lot of different partners. At least from what Spencer said when he was over there.
-
Kadi vs Ramazonov I believe is a rematch of a 79kg russian nats bout back in the day which I believe Kadi won.

United world wrestling then go to events

Didn't Paniro major Cannon at 165? Maybe he has more juice there.

Baev smoked him and looked very good all tournament.
