  1. Because it’s not going to make it 128 pages without some juice
  2. Super bummed that Kannon Webster was defeated by Mendez. Bummed that littlest Braunagel was upset. Most salty that Hopke didn’t make it out of the bracket. I’m a BIG believer and I thought he would handily dispatch Carroll, who I’m still rooting for as an IL kid.
  3. The weird thing about Askren is he is a boomer conservative. All about receiving a fair slice of the pie right up until it was his money in the bank and then, well... For as much as he gives back to our sport and has, in my opinion, the best outlook on how to approach kids wrestling and somehow simultaneously also successfully grows elite-level wrestling he sure does have some funky ways about him.
  4. Are... are you serious? You're joking, right?
  5. Maybe the finals of the Big 12 tourney. Even with it being a thinner pool than '22 and '23 the chance of either of them being in the semis is very slim. Will likely be fighting for their AA life in the blood round... and they may run into each other depending on how the bracket shakes out. Oh and don't forget Steveson might show up for 3 weeks next year (B1G and NCAAs) if he gets a good enough NIL offer.
  6. Hmmm if only Ferrari had something to do with that
  7. But what misogynistic term will you call greco if that happens?
  8. TnT: Sorry Mark Perry. We know you are doing amazing things, and you are leading the best WFS room in the country while it is the fastest growing sport in kids athletics. But you gotta go. We know better than you. . . . TnT: We would like to bring in a person who is awaiting standing trial for sexual battery and has multiple allegations of sexual assault, sexual battery, and sexual misconduct.
  9. Watch out or the oldhead baseball types with their no fun "unwritten rules of the game" crap will come after you
  10. NQ at 285 from Big 12 isn't exactly difficult. If you can win your wrestleoff then there is a good chance you've made it - they somehow earned EIGHT AQs last year out of 13 teams. Hendrickson took 3rd, Elam 6th, Schuyler R12, then a steep shove off the cliff for everyone else by Friday morning. Carroll took one look at the B1G landscape and noped right out of that competition.
  11. Very high morals in the whole five years since chasing PD3. I sincerely can't believe they went down this route again. No wonder Kemerer left.
  12. Sorry salty subject because I just lost a really great worker this morning and she was rightfully pissed. HR is no one’s friend. oOoOoO am I talking about the department or the message board?!
  13. Don’t compare the Focus family to capitalism. Because a person’s company only allows a 15% max raise but the free market is offering 40-50% that should not be held against a person. Blame the bean counters in finance that guaranteed their bonus in return for employee churn and all the negatives that come with it.
  14. I have a bunch of orange slices for the team that say otherwise
  15. Did they participate? Sounds like they earned a trophy in my heart.
  16. Every year I look at ASU and I’m like “those guys can’t ever figure it out and they’re overrated af.” And every year they bring home another team trophy shutting me up.
  17. What will be the impact to our nonrevenue sport and when will we begin to feel the effects of this? https://www.si.com/college/2023/05/30/sec-meetings-nil-athlete-employment-collectives-hot-topics “It reminds me of a rigged marketplace,” says Julie Sommer, an attorney and expert on NIL matters who works for the Drake Group, an organization whose mission is to defend academic integrity at universities. “Federally funded institutions running these enterprises for private gain? The first big question is, what’s the IRS going to do?” While debates over field storming and a future scheduling format have captured attention, SEC power brokers have a much more pressing issue at hand: the distribution of money to college athletes. How to do it? What is right and wrong? Where is the enforcement? There are disagreements. Frustrated administrators. Ticked-off school presidents. And a commissioner, Greg Sankey, who is handcuffed as his unruly programs fight to dip their hands in the NIL money pit."
  18. After midnight Mark Hall's dome did become as big as a pumpkin...
  19. He was very unheralded. Not even blue chip. Just #12 overall in his entire class. The fact he started a single varsity match made Quentin Wright a bonafide cinderalla story. https://www.pennstatewrestlingclub.org/content/read_news.php?id=53
  20. It was yo mama
  21. Of course, you may have to pull a full scholly from one of the Braunagels. Oh no the horror…
