Gable was HEW long before his olympic run so I unfortunately do not believe he would have continued developing at the necessary level. I believe he walked away at his peak. And yes I understand this will be an extremely unpopular opinion.

I do not believe Gable would beat this version of Zare. He's smaller and his offense is not dynamic enough. This pains me as a known hater of greco dancing bears.

Two things being lost in this bitch-fest 1) Brooks is still wrestling for a bronze in his first international appearance. 2) He saw that god is a cruel spirit (Ram Of The East < Eastern Orthodox) and dug deep on his own to find the balls to not turn over in that bent-leg turk. Brooks was tough as hell in that moment.

So one thing we can all focus on is this if Brooks isn't the guy at 86 then Carl has no problem recruiting over him. He should give that Taylor guy a recruiting call.

I saw David Taylor lose to Cox 4 times in two tries a year apart. I saw Brooks beat Taylor handily two matches in a row. It happens, even to the reigning world champions and it's why they wrestle the matches.
