That is a good start. We all know that Tom & Cael need a west coast swing EVERY season. It IS vital to our sport. I remember when Lofthouse was on the roster at Iowa, they would go out to Utah (his home state) and wrestle UVU & I think Wyoming too. It was at a "neutral site" in eastern Utah. This sort of thing should have been going for a long time. Back when UC Davis, (Coach Moore from CBU won an NCAA title at UC Davis) BYU, Boise State, and Oregon all had programs. I am not saying that it would have saved any of these programs, but it would have been great for the sport.

Exactly! I work for a big bank and I had to get "permission" to officiate HS wrestling, to make sure there wasn't A CONFLICT OF INTEREST.

Seems like I remember Cael going to or not going to certain events since he landed at PSU. He stopped going to the Midlands in lieu of the Southern Scuffle. I am not sure if they still go to that or not. My point is, Cael has always scheduled his season a little differently. It does make me wonder that if they HADN'T been so successful if he would have scheduled like a lot of the other D1 programs do? Or would he have stuck with his current plan? Maybe now is the time that we should shift to a 1 semester sport and start on Jan 2nd. John Smith proposed this exact idea back in the '90's & it made a lot of sense. Just sayin.....
