    So my suggestion is still in the family but a little further removed. I suggest Jody Stritmatter & Eric Juergens. They are Iowa alumni but it has been a few years.

    I remember seeing several articles about Illinois kids going out of state for college. One article had some interesting numbers about HS seniors going to the University of Iowa and Alabama. Yes, the article was based on HS seniors, not HS senior athletes. I wonder how much longer they can just ride the wave of kids wanting to stay in state? Maybe I have missed it, but are they still getting the Central Valley Cali kids?

    TJ Sewell was a 3X AA at OU and actually lost to Sean O'Day in the Finals, said the same thing, "It is hard! I was ready for it to end. I was also ready to go get a job and act like normal people."

    I am not sure what weight this was, but the Cornell kid was ahead, and just let the opponent back in to the match. Then he gave up the winning TD with about 30 seconds left and he just there on the mat. It was as bad as when Warren laid down at Northern Iowa!

    That is great news! From that video, the AD says they are not afraid to take chances. Is that a hint that Ben gets hired there? That might be the perfect fit for both parties. Now the race is on, who actually gets a D1 team first, UW-Green Bay or Tarleton State in Texas?

    @Gbaby149Do you have 100% buy in from the administration? We keep hearing about what y'all have been doing, but is the administration doing SOMETHING to make this push?

    Oh the irony. They spent a lot of money on a kid from Illinois and an Okie. How long has Iowa been making fun of Illinois and Oklahoma? Now they really don't want to put UNI on the schedule!

    I think Schopp is fantastic! I just wonder if he would leave Edinboro? I bet he is thinking that he would take over the Fighting Scots program. They should let Hill have the women's program and let Schopp have the men's program.

    They should send the Illinois guy and the Okie packing. They have been a big let down.

    I have some good friends from Illinois and they admit, that there is not as much focus on mat wrestling in IL as there is in other states (IA, OK, NJ, PA, & OH) to name a few. I don't have any "real" evidence of this, but it is funny, and Bailey is from IL. I hope it is just a slump for him and he gets out of it and out from underneath.

    Maybe he was thinking, "At least I didn't give up bonus points." I have no clue, but it is old for sure. Has anyone from Iowa asked for a refund from Bailey? Or at least charge him admission when he enters CHA.
