FloArena Date of Execution: September 1st
Jason Bryant replied to SetonHallPirate's topic in College Wrestling
Recording is programmed to shut off when the result is entered as “final” at the scorers table. When Adam Fenn and I built the system that’s currently being used by Flo (they bought WVS), part of the training for the table workers was save the result after the hand-raise. This is less about FloArena than it is table workers in this case since the system was built upon Trackwrestling first. The closing out of matches scored electronically is what starts and stops the recording and that will vary by event in terms of the level of hands-on training. -
I deciphered it as a comparison akin to "best practices" such as an example of another board they post on. On the old board, I even baked in that rule specifically in the forum rules that were built in 2010, so it's not like it's something on forums you hadn't participated on before. The nothingburger here, in my viewpoint, is continuing to harp on point BRF was making and clinging to the "other forum" rules as a crutch to argue.

Linking back to the source material is always the best and most correct answer.

West Virginia. We will lose a men’s team and an announced women’s team that never actually competed.

HWT: AJ Ferrari vs Gable Steveson?
Jason Bryant replied to Jimmy Cinnabon's topic in College Wrestling
Those morons are clutching to the allegations as fact and you’ve got kids on Twitter (X) clinging to some loophole narrative vs. actually realizing the lack of credible evidence here isn’t a loophole, it’s exactly what it means, lack of CREDIBLE evidence. It’s unnerving to a degree to see people just defame someone so casually by googling stories that never get followed up on. -
Having a great time, wish you were here, Monty … Brewster.

Wouldn't be a point, if there's no funding for those NGBs, there will be no way funding for the athletes to even pay to go to these events. The rest of the world's wrestling federations don't. have money like we do. If there's no Olympics for wrestling, the money from those Olympic committees will go to other Olympic sports. Countries NOW don't fund the non-Olympic weights (like Cuba, for example), so if they're all non-Olympic weights, you just cut the head off the sport globally, leaving pretty much who? And who knows how much USAW would be getting domestically if wrestling was no longer an Olympic sport. It's a silly idea to even try to rationalize.

FloArena Date of Execution: September 1st

And absolutely ZERO technical support. I believe the project was created by a teacher and his students. It was the standard for a bit, but I always liked Kreider PC tournaments before everything was updated live. I ran a ton of tournaments with it a while back. -

I always thought there should be a setting when logged in that could be modified for your favorites. Like a default screen for logged in users, and then a default view for the public (such as the NCAAs or regionals for the drive by results seekers) -

Track isn’t hard to grasp if you start using it frequently but it’s not exactly easy to understand walking in off the street. It’s got everything I need (for the most part) on its public view on tournaments. I’ve always disliked FloArena when trying to cover a tournament and look deeper at the data -
Legit Venue for NCAA's in Vegas: Two questions...
Jason Bryant replied to ThreePointTakedown's topic in College Wrestling
All you need to do is go to the Colorado HS state tournament to understand why. Sure, they can get 10 mats on the floor, but the mats are right up against the dasher boards and the scoring tables are in corners or in penalty boxes. The 200x85 NHL-sized ice sheet makes the new arenas pretty tough too. St. Louis had the Olympic ice (200x100) for a short time, so their floor space is wider, which is why head tables and scoring tables at the Enterprise Center were optimal. New arenas that have hockey aren't going wider than NHL boards with their floors as much as they used to. -
Fargo B-Dubs, Bison Turf and Herd & Horns count: Currently 0. What's the over-under here folks? I'm there the whole time (Save the first session as I'm driving in Saturday AM)

Best weather forecast for tournament week I can recall. My first year was well over 100 degrees and we stayed in the non-AC dorms. I wasn’t cutting weight but I definitely lost weight by simply existing that year.
