  1. It definitely gets shoved down our throats in every sport. It certainly is not unique to NCAA wrestling or Penn State.
  2. I didn't even notice.
  3. Incorrect. All I said was that if Jason Nolf could cut 25lbs in a week I believe Gabe Arnold could cut 10lbs in a week. It was nothing more than anecdotal and was supposed to be fun. I have no idea where you are getting that I accused you of not knowing something like how to cut weight or weight cutting rules. Not everyone here is out to insult you.
  4. Well that's news to me. All I did was share a video of a funny Jason Nolf story related to cutting weight. Any slight against you was created by you, in your own mind.
  5. I accused you of not knowing how to cute weight?
  6. The first time I saw this interview I had the audio off and saw captions and missed the part where he said Bucknell and immediately thought the same exact thing.
  7. Since wrestling was only invented circa 2011 I'll give you mine. PSU guys (in order) Vincenzo Joseph Jason Nolf Bo Nickal David Taylor Andrew Alton RBY Ed Ruth Aaron Brooks Non-PSU guys (no particular order) Logan Steiber Jordan Oliver Austin DeSanto Parker Keckeisen
  8. Jason Nolf gave an interview a year ago about his last year at PSU where he went nuts over Thanksgiving and gained 25lbs. He said he was up to 182lbs-183lbs and had to lose 25lbs in a week. He barely made weight for Bucknell, got taken down and was really dizzy. He did mention he still go the pin, though. So going from 184lbs to 174lbs seems pretty doable pretty quickly. Here is the interview for those interested. I love hearing stories like this.
  9. Perfect. He will be back right on time to travel to State College. I want a dual with everyone as healthy as possible.
  10. I won't disagree with you on him being unlikable. I completely understand why people want to see him lose.
  11. I have never seen a guy with Starocci's credentials be so disrespected. First it was the NLWC All-Star meet where everyone was picking PK to beat him. Now this first year starter is going to beat a 4X NCAA champ? Starocci is likely not losing this year and getting his 5th title. No first year starter is going to beat him. I say this as a Penn State fan who thinks Carter is an absolute turd and when he leaves PSU I will stop rooting for him all together.
  12. The NCAA has never had anything to do with NIL. The courts decided what was allowable in regards to NIL, not the NCAA. The NCAA has never had any say in what NIL is after the courts ruled on it. I agree that it's pretty out of control today but the NCAA, at least, had nothing to do with that. I don't know what the solution is but it won't come from the NCAA after already being told they can't do *I poop my pants, don't laugh at me* about it by the courts.
  13. He was a runner-up at 174lbs last year so what is the issue with him going at 174lbs? The NCAA runner-up lost his spot to someone else on his team? I don't follow Buckeye wrestling closely and was under the impression he was redshirting this year. Can someone fill me in?
  14. If you listened to the critics of Cael Sanderson you'd think the PSU program has been in a downward spiral for a long time and that the program struggles. What exactly is there to criticize in regards to Cael Sanderson and the PSU program since Cael arrived? They have been the most dominating dynasty in sports over that time. The amount of winning the team has done and their individual wrestlers have done is just insane. Whatever Cael is doing it's working better than any coach in any sport in the country, professional or otherwise.
  15. Do you think PSU is going to have any tougher time in duals in conference with this team?
  16. Did the kid throw his headgear? If he threw his headgear what difference does it make where the ref went to school?
  17. Have I ever tried to re-create a billiion dollar sports drink in my house? No.
  18. Here is a simple way I determine, without fail, who is ducking an opponent and who isn't. There are only two steps. 1. Does the guy wrestle for my favorite team? If yes, he's not ducking. He's sick. 2. Does he wrestle for Iowa? If yes, he's the duckiest ducker that ever ducked. He should wrestle for Oregon if he's so scared.

  20. I can buy that. Davis probably believes he can win the spot outright from Nagao. I think he probably could.
  21. I don't think Davis has much of a choice with Nagao injured. I think Nagao is in for a medical RS this year leaving Davis as the only viable 133lber. If he gets injured my guess is they bump Kurt McHenry up to 133. Outside of Davis and Nagao we are looking at: Gary Steen - He seemed undersized at 125lbs. He didn't have a ton of offense at 125lbs either. Cael Nasdeo - He wrestled at 141lbs against Drexel and lost. He was the only guy to lose. He is listed on the roster as 133lbs though so maybe he was just undersized against the Drexel kid but he didn't instill a ton of confidence. I know they like this kid and he trained at the NLWC his senior year so maybe he was an option at 133lbs? Kyison Garcia - I know nothing about this kid. His bio says he was a 3x Utah state champ. This seems like one of Cael's classic kids from Utah that he always has on the roster but never sees anything other than maybe a courtesy start on senior day or possibly when they rest a guy. Timothy Levine - He's a room guy. He is an upperclassman and not a candidate to start. I don't think Davis really has the option to RS this year even if he wanted to with Nagao out.
  22. Because it's super easy to dislike him. I am as big a PSU fan as they come and I cannot stand Bo. He is not overrated and sadly I doubt I'll ever get to see someone punch his ***ducking** lights out. ***duck** Bo Nickal.
  23. Well thank you. I didn't think you noticed.
