This is relevant and speaks to the crazy tactics parents will take. Sad overall. It isn’t needed … at all. Impacts the kid’s social circle. Makes a clear point that learning things outside of wrestling is not the priority (play games and wrestle). Delays the kid’s entry into the money making world when, for the large majority of them, they don’t become a world championship level wrestler. Completely warped. And yes, it does put an asterisk next to their accomplishments. If you disagree, I suppose taking 3 years off from middle school would be fine by you as well.

Buddies and I got a 4 bedroom Air BnB … worked great. $340 a person - each with own bedroom. One had car - parking was simple near enough to arena … $12 all day. Consider rental car next time. Saw plans for KC to put in a baseball stadium just south of T-Mobile arena. Quite the sports complex. Glad to hear the basically unanimous agreement on KC … here and in other social media posts I am seeing. NCAA - make it happen pls!!

My perspective: Wrestler not taking risks / not trying upper body moves / no trying real leg attacks …. and generally back to line. Going on for good period of time. Bam - stalling! What I see: Ref sees the above, notices there is an aggressor, …. but does not call stalling until opponent takes ANOTHER shot. Why do the refs wait like this? Why can’t they call stalling even when the two are simply hand fighting?

It is simply that wrestlers don’t play the edge as much. This less out of bounds with no scoring. Simple. Guys - did you watch the finals? So many playing the edge. Was crazy bad. Did our sport no favors.

I really don’t understand why they take so long. Video technology allows for immediate rewind, fast forward, pause. Reviewer should not need to study the 20 seconds of activity for 2+ minutes. Be like a ref in the moment. Was the call clearly wrong? Say so!! Fast!! If not, get moving!!!

Cheap and lazy arguments being made. Who actually thinks the push out rule has changed Freestyle into Sumo? No one. Well, Ok … No one with an IQ over 75. Does the edge get gamed still in freestyle, yes, it does a bit. But we have to do something much more powerful to prevent all the ass to the edge wrestling. Seeing Vito demand Crookham get to the center by point down to the center of the mat, while Crookham stayed many feet away, was awesome and sad. Good for Crookham for agreeing to do so, for that moment.

All the haters (I am in that camp I guess) should watch that. Seems like a good human being. Easy to make someone a villain. Before you do, actually try to know them first. A good reminder.

2 pins by Shapiro and Cardenas Saturday morning were huge as the race for second came down to wire. Cornell owes VT … Andonian seems to pin or be pinned … he did then semi slid in a brutal way … 3 straight pins. And then Henson takes out Gomez from Michigan. There are many points that all contributed but these particular events stand out as the team race came to a finish.

He is an outstanding wrestler. OUTSTANDING. That said, simply don’t want to watch him against other great wrestlers. Boring.

Richie Figs won a title living on that line. Crazy that the ref let him do that so blatantly. Many others. Figs isn’t alone.

@MidwestMan- hoping others there do chime in. I thought the whole setup was awesome. Arena was really impressive. Food lines were not long. Prices for food in arena were ok but better than on have seen elsewhere. Great special effects s in arena. Bathrooms kept clean and stocked (from what I saw). Local restaurant food prices well less than East coast. Had some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had. And I’ve had Italian. Many places to hang out close to arena. Need to get back to get to the WWI memorial and museum. Looks amazing. I could go on …

So much damn backing up to edge and playing the edge at NCAAs. Ridiculous. Over and over and over again. Ugly. Refs subjectivity and inconsistency on this point is not working. Need more severe incentives to keep guys from doing this.

Hoping the championships are held here more. A lot more. Great setup. Low cost. Arena was outstanding. Central. Lots of food and drink around Arena. Free tram to get you to fun area with more good food near river. City was clean. People were nice. All around great. Really hoping this city gets the event more often.

Wow. The bias is strong with this ref. Mess walked out of bounds when on bottom multiple times. No biggie.
