  1. This has me wondering. What does Pete and Aaron know? mspart
  2. That is if we do this in a smart way. Axing petrol before a viable solution is available is not a solution. https://www.cnbc.com/2023/07/01/why-the-ev-boom-could-put-a-major-strain-on-our-power-grid.html https://www.eia.gov/tools/faqs/faq.php?id=427&t=3 We are going to get rid of 60.4% of energy production from Fossil fuels. Around here hydropower is what we rely on mostly but they want to tear the dams down for the salmon. Puget Sound Orcas only eat salmon you know. Yeah right. But again, to appease the CO2 alarmists, going back 250 years ago is the only thing that will do it. mspart
  3. Yeah, but what do the french know. They know fries and how not to say 70% of the letters in their words. mspart
  4. Yes, the PAC 12 championship will be pretty good. WA will have to bring its A game because WA beat the ducks earlier and they will be motivated. I heard on the radio today the ducks are 9 point favorites. It would be good to get WA into the BCS. I'd love that. tOSU does not need to be there IMHO. I have 3 teams, AL, WA, and BYU. So two of them are in the top 8 in the country, not too bad. BYU has not really done anything since 1983-85 with 84 being their championship year. mspart
  5. My vote is for Hybrid. It gets 50+ mpg and you don't have to wait to charge it. The 50+ mpg is incredibly good and lowers CO2 emissions and dollars spent on gas. Win win. EVs are not as good because of charge times, long distance trips, and trucking. Not yet ready for primetime and the market is showing that. Hybrids are eating EVs shorts out there. There is still application fro ICE vehicles for instance big trucks and work vehicles hauling stuff. If Hybrid could enter that market it would be a juggernaut IMO. mspart
  6. And then it goes away. Simple. But if it is useful to most (or enough) people and commercially viable, it will stay in the marketplace of ideas. Again, simple. That's called Free Enterprise. A product with no value disappears or never becomes a thing. mspart
  7. Or the Japanese rolled over Poland? Iowa 18, ISU 14. mspart
  8. Mich beat Ohio State. tOSU is now out of BCS contention. Who bets Iowa beats Michigan in the B1G championship? #18 vs #2? In other news, My team Alabama barely squeaked out a win over Auburn in the Iron Bowl. If not for the hail mary on 4th and 26 goal to go, Auburn would have won that game. Even though they are my team, I won't say they deserved to win. It was a fluke play that scored the last touchdown. I'm happy for the win because Auburn is the worst. But Auburn should have won that game. mspart
  9. So you are rationally afraid of losing those? Or are you rationally optimistic to losing those? I'm not sure what else to interpret from your statement. mspart
  10. Russia is a lovely place this time of year. Everyone there is so happy and helpful, it's hard to imagine a more paradisaical place. mspart
  11. Oops, missed that. Looking at it again, they put that note in between 86 and 97. I was just looking at 97. Thanks for the correction. I guess we won't see him at US Nats. mspart
  12. I've already addressed this. The logical conclusion is to go back to how life was lived 200+ years ago. A world that is not recognizable today. Creature comforts such as medical magic to keep people alive, the end of small pox, near end to polio, leprosy, etc etc. Those will be gone because there won't be the infrastructure to make those important life saving medicines. This with the inevitable catastrophic loss of life due to lack of basic needful things. Yes, I suppose we could call those creature comforts. mspart
  13. This was one of the funniest bits WKRP ever did. Les Nessman's play by play was hilarious. Oh the humanity. mspart
  14. My wife brined the turkey this year and it got smoked and it tasted kind of ham like. But the smoking process was great. The turkey is excellent. We all had a great time. Where? PNW. mspart
  15. I would be guessing that J'Den Cox will be at the US Nationals as he is not on the above list. mspart
  16. That's great, I'm happy for him and his family. Sounds like things are good family wise. Which really is most important. mspart
  17. Maybe that is true, but the topic is being kept alive by the court cases filed against Trump. So yes, it keeps it alive and pointing out that PA did not do signature verification, in fact were told not to, only heightens concerns of malfeasance. mspart
  18. Cunningham is a good choice, but I think for now it has to be Tom and Terry. If they were to bring in some of these guys as assistants, and there was a change, then it might be worth looking into. mspart
  19. Welcome to the board braves. Yes, like cancer, ballot fraud is no respecter of persons. mspart
  20. That would mean computers and semiconductors for those computers. In other words, no more digital world. If we are to really do something, it would be to go back 200 years and live as they did when population was much less. Without the industrial revolution: 1. No world wide communication 2. No world wide ease of travel. Both jet and car. 3. No world wide use of computers and internet. 4. No life saving drugs and procedures and machines. Have to get rid of all those plastic O2 machines grandma uses to breathe with. 5. No huge crop yields. 6. No clean water out of a tap. Chemicals used by municipalities to clean the water are provided by petrol use. 7. No plastic or rubber anything - boats, kayaks, backpacks, tents, boots, running shoes, no tires, no innertubes (so bikes are out), and no riding lawnmowers, chainsaws, mills, breakfast cereals etc. 8. No EVs, because of the enormous amount of energy provided by petroleum to make said EVs and their batteries. 9. No metal or composite roofing. Back to thatch and cedar (maybe not cedar as it takes machines to make those shakes). 10. No modern music or movies or TVs that takes electricity to play, to record, to distribute. Granted we don't need rock and roll, movies, or TV but it is fun and entertaining. 11. No air conditioners, those are the first to go. 12. No heaters, they run on gas, oil, and electricity. All of these sources are bad. 13. No electrical generation except by sun or wind. Oh wait, those items are essentially composites and are made by the use of petrol so they go away too. Just a few of the things everyone will have to sacrifice to get to net zero. Essentially the push for the end of fossil fuel use will herald in a catastrophe of human death and misery on a scale that we as a world have never known. All of the above things have made a difference in the lives of billions and allow billions to live. Get rid of them and we are back over 200 years ago doing majority subsistence living. The climate alarmists really don't know what the logical end to their wishes go. Above is a short list. mspart
  21. Be doing Turkey tomorrow. I hope it is as good as it was last year. mspart

  24. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hunter_Biden_laptop_controversy In September 2023, Hunter Biden filed a civil lawsuit against Giuliani, his companies and attorney Robert Costello, alleging that they had spent years "hacking into, tampering with, manipulating, copying, disseminating, and generally obsessing over data that they were given that was taken or stolen from" his personal devices and caused "total annihilation" of his digital privacy. So Hunter admits the laptop was his. Conspiracy theory #1 confirmed. A nothing burger that contains emails that confirm Joe Biden KNEW about his son's business dealings and met with his son's domestic and foreign business partners either in person or on phone. This contradicts Joe's campaign and later while President assertion that he knew nothing about Hunter's business. But he did. Conspiracy theory #2 confirmed. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/fbi-verified-authenticity-of-hunter-biden-s-abandoned-laptop-in-november-2019-irs-whistleblower/ar-AA1cU3Iu Most news outlets ignored the laptop’s contents until well after Biden won the 2020 election, with the Washington Post and New York Times saying only in March 2022 that they had confirmed the authenticity of files. Again we have confirmation that the laptop and files belonged to Hunter Biden. Further confirmation that conspiracy theory #1 was true. So your assertion that NYP "dutifully produced what Trump said they would", is an absolute misrepresentation of the truth. Hunter is suing because the laptop contained info he didn't want out there and the WAPO and NYT have confirmed the authenticity of the files. NYP did nothing wrong here, they published the information which has later been confirmed. Sorry Plasi but your revision of history doesn't stand up. Twitter deleted information that was true. You like that? That is a good thing? And the effect that had on the election is incalculable. https://www.timesfreepress.com/news/2020/nov/26/cooper-biden-voters/ One in six Biden voters would have changed their minds if they had known the full story Might that have moved the election? Possibly. So burying this was good in your opinion? That's crazy. It goes to show you are more political than moral. You would rather have Biden win under suspicious circumstances than Trump win out in the open. That mindset is how democracy is lost. It isn't Trump that is a danger to democracy, it is that mindset that the ends justify the means that is a danger to democracy. People come and go, but closely held beliefs are tough to change, especially when one is not open to the truth. mspart
