  1. Funny that Fix and Lee don't show up at US Nats at least for now. Fix usually is pretty reliable. Perhaps he feels bad he didn't fail in the finals once again. Cheap shot. I hope he comes out and takes care of business. Lee too. mspart
  2. Is Fix or Lee going to show up? Arujau is in the mix. I understand PSU folks wait until the last moment or so was said earlier. So I won't ask about those. mspart
  3. That might be a good deal for OU. I'd rather Pendleton stay in Corvallis. mspart
  4. yah man, what ever happened to Bulgaria? They were monsters back in the day. mspart
  5. Is Gilman accepting Final X finals position at 57? Or will he go to US Nats at 61? mspart
  6. It was a thought answer. You might have to think about it for a little while. I'm sure you will get it after a short time pondering it. mspart
  7. To your second bullet, I could not find anything to support my statement. In reading an article on DeSantis saying this isn't over I found this: https://finance.yahoo.com/news/desantis-leaves-everyone-cliffhanger-retribution-151451637.html DeSantis didn't say what would come next in his battle with the family-favorite company, a feud that first began in early 2022. That year, Disney drew DeSantis' ire after its leaders said publicly that the company would work to repeal the Parental Rights in Education Act, the legislation LGBTQ rights groups and Democrats have derided as "Don't Say Gay," because it limits classroom instruction about gender identity and sexual orientation. Now, it must be remembered that the law only stops such education to K-3 students. Yet, Disney and those who feel the same are essentially saying that it is wrong to not teach K-3 students about their genitals and how to have sex and what sex toys are and how you might not be who you think you are, you might be the opposite gender and steps you can take to get yourself to be the other gender. No restrictions to what is taught in the classroom is the only solution. Why they are doing this I have no idea. But this takes them from being a company with an opinion to becoming a political actor. Again, more reason why their special deal is being revoked. Whatever happened to common sense? It went the way of the corded phone. With this kind of logic of allowing minors to make these kinds of decisions, why not allow K-3 kids to vote, drink alcohol, drive cars, own guns? Would anyone do that? Why not? Because minors don't have the maturity or mental clarity of understanding the consequences of their actions. This has been known for all time and is corroborated by science in showing that their brain function and thinking functions are developing, not finished. But that is what Disney and their kind are pushing for, to allow minors to make the ultimate life choice like they absolutely know what they are doing. This is pure grooming and child abuse at the highest level. Perhaps you remember when this stuff was brought up that it was being taught in the schools. "oh no, that isn't done, who would do a stupid thing like that?" was championed by all the left until Disney took on FL in this fight. Then it because apparent that it is being taught in the schools and that is they way they want it and don't want it to stop. I don't know how to describe it any other way. And Disney is all about it. Why this has become the pet project of leftists is a wonder. And I say this seriously, no thinking adult thinks this is a good thing. Not one. This is a realm of zero reason and zero facts for the left, that's all they have. And that is why you can be cancelled for saying what I have said, because they don't have facts and data on their side, they only have vitriol and cancellation. mspart
  8. Knees are for wusses!! Actually I was rooting for Spencer at NCAAs. I'll be rooting for him if he competes at US Nationals. mspart
  9. Twitter files. Trump. Choose your example. mspart
  10. We might be going there this year. But it is capitalized. mspart
  11. This mspart
  12. Does this mean those guys won't sign up, or they just haven't signed up? mspart
  13. Disney took a position, having a special relationship with FL, that was opposite to what the FL legislature and, by extension, the people wanted. And they were very very vocal about this opposition. If they wanted to become political about this, the situation became political. To your last sentence, this has been going on everyday. I agree it is unamerican to have to pay a heavy price for speaking your mind. The Left has been doing that very thing to non-conformists for years now. Now the left is complaining when the table is turned? I see this as a tit for tat situation. mspart
  14. GWN, I think it wasn't that Disney is left leaning, it was their attitude to teaching K-3 kids about sex, sexuality and gender dysphoria. They complained and were going to push to have that law removed. So they essentially became political. So the R's in the legialature and governors office said, you don't want to go there. What this is about is teaching children that changing their genders is a good thing and can be done and in some cases is the right thing to do. And Disney was leading that charge. And Democrats all over the nation are leading that charge. This is just wrong and I don't understand how adults could think puberty blockers, and gender reassignment surgery is a good thing for minors, that will affect them for the rest of their lives. Minors don't have the maturity to make that kind of decision. That is what this whole thing is about. mspart
  15. Well, when democrats push gender affirming drugs and surgeries for minors, and grooming them to think this is a wonderful idea, that is certainly not leading with kindness, do you agree? That is what the issue was with DeSantis and the so called Dont say gay bill. Never did the bill say anything about gay. What it said was there will be no teaching of sex, sexuality, or gender in classes K-3. And that was the most horrible thing in the world to the D's. Why is that, I'm sure you are asking. Well, because that is called in other realms of thought, grooming. We are indoctrinating the kids to think they can change their gender and this by the state. This is not parents' call, strictly the State's call. Well now it isn't the State's call and how sad is that? Very sad from the Disney and D hubbub that this created. Since when are minors capable of making life long decisions? Since never. Yet, we tell them they can't drive, they can't drink, they can't own a house, they can't buy a gun, but by golly, they can take puberty blocking drugs that will affect them the rest of their lives and they can cut their breasts off and testicles and penis off and this will affect them the rest of their lives. Do you not see a problem here? That is why she said what she said. It is not rocket science unless you are fully into the idea that minors are fully intellectually able to make these kinds of decisions. If they can for that, then these same people should be pushing them to drive cars and buy guns at age 11. Of course no sane adult would do that, yet insane adults are clamoring for grooming kids in school to have them change their gender. One more thing, is that there is no changing one's gender. You are what you are. There is no changing that. You can cut off and plug up and extract what you will but that does not change your gender. Your choromosomes still tell the truth. If a minor wants to change their sex, they can make that decision when they are an adult, but preying on minors for this purpose is ghastly and evil. Just my $0.02. mspart
  16. Good to know U of Wash was leading the charge. I went to BYU and after I got out Mark Schultz was leading the team and doing well. Then BYU dropped wrestling. I still haven't forgiven them. mspart
  17. Dang. I wonder where he is going to end up? I've always liked Roselli, looks similar to my brother. Except my brother has hair!! mspart
  18. I used to love Cracker Barrel, but the last two times we ate there, it was not that good. So I'm kind of in agreement. But when someone mentions it, I remember when I loved it. mspart
  19. University of WA dropped Wrestling in 1979. I still feel shafted on that. mspart
  20. Classic line from that movie!! mspart
  21. Yes, I agree with this. mspart
  22. scourge, I won't repeat everything you said in your very long and intense response, thanks by the way, it is good reading. But when I think of the old guys vs the new guys, I'm not thinking the techniques they had. I'm thinking about the qualities that made them champions. Do you think if McIlravy was coming up today, he would be no champion? With the mental toughness and desire for excellence, he would have figured it out just like he did a long time ago. Same with most of these older guys. Gable looks downright basic when he wrestled, but do you think a guy like him who HAD to win would have settled for anything less now as opposed to then? That is the kind of comparison I have in my mind when I do these games. I just feel that the guys back then, if they came around now, would still be incredible like they were then because they would have found a way like they did then. mspart
  23. If there only was a Cracker Barrel here in Seattle area. They won't allow it. Too unhealthy and uncouth for the sophisticated folks around here!!! However Chic-Filet has made an inroad here. I haven't been there yet. Had it in an airport in Philly? and thought it was ok. Nothing special. Lines for drive through are epic. mspart
