  1. He was there actively training when I was down there two weeks ago
  2. While I would assume the same thing, he later said "New York City will run properly. We’re gonna bring New York back. I love New York,” he said. “We’re going to do something for New York. I can’t tell you what yet, but we’re going to make New York great again" so open to interpretation. Kinda crazy for the federal government to step in because they don't like the outcome of an election Now I think Mamdani is an idiot, but it's not Trump's place to step in
  3. https://abcnews.go.com/amp/Politics/trump-suggests-taking-new-york-city-washington/story?id=123581492 “We're not going to have -- if a communist gets elected to run New York, it can never be the same. But we have tremendous power at the White House to run places when we have to," Trump said. Trump didn't elaborate on what authority that would be as he then turned his focus to the nation's capital.”
  4. Yea, I wasn’t a big fan of the baby… the detective’s story line was dumb too
  5. I have no idea what he did, but can confirm he was kicked off

  7. I'm a fan of Andy Beshear from Kentucky - he's not perfect but a solid middle of the road candidate that is palatable to non-MAGA Republicans like myself
  8. I don't feel like arguing with you guys, no one on here is going to change their mind... I do like following the threads however... But I agree with WrestlingRasta in their response to Bigbrog
  9. We are looking for a wrestling head coach to lead Parkview, as the long time head coach has stepped down after 20+ years. The program is a feeder to a well established high school program ran by USAW Gold Coach and Indiana Hall of Fame Member Danny Struck. Jeffersonville is growing fast and has a school corporation that is dedicated to capital improvements. If you are interested, please contact Danny at dstruck@gccschools.com
  10. Not that it matters, but on Sunday the ACs were on and it was actually cold before the wrestling started (greco for Central Regionals) - it stayed somewhat cool the entire time
  11. The venue doesn’t have great air circulation, four big fans (one in each corner) and nothing in the middle. Midway today they pulled curtains over the giant windows which seemed to help a tad I personally didn’t think it was too bad (I was on the floor coaching all day for Central Regionals) but heard a lot of complaints from folks about the heat in the venue
  12. If you are in Louisville looking for a beer, there is a wrestler owned brewery with a roof top patio Awry Brewing, ask for Tom if you go
  13. If anyone is coming to Louisville, feel free to PM me for any restaurant/attraction recommendations
  14. Not realistic, but they should do a complete 180 and stay home at Bellarmine, Coach Shuck has some prime greco experience as (greco) Pat Smith's coach.
  15. The registration form and more information can be found at https://wyatt.knightsrtc.com/

  17. Software Engineer & HS Wrestling Coach Got a sweet gig, work from home 7AM to 3PM and then head over to the high school for practice, don't work Fridays as well
  18. In HS 112, 120, 126, 138 In college 125, 125 Walked around at 140 in college, not the worst cut but also not fun

  20. I was so close to getting a Polestar 2, but the general EV used resale values scare me too much to take the plunge Ended up opting for a used, nicely optioned s60 and will revisit once that all settles a little more
  21. Devin Hendricks is Bellarmine’s first ever SoCon Conference Champion
  22. The excuses coming out of that group have been crazy It's New Jersey's fault for having a private school in a public school regional, there wasn't proper security, it was a planned thing to get Knox kicked out, the entire gym was against them, etc..
  23. Super happy so far with the Patriots rebuild of the coaching staff this offseason Mayo was never fit to be the head coach, he lacked experience and was horrible all around (and I say this as a person who has his jersey from when he played). It's one thing to expect to lose but see progress and it's one thing to lose and see zero progress, Mayo was in that zero progress side of things. Vrabel should have been the hire day one - he's removed enough from Bill Belichick to be his own man but close enough to New England to know expectations. He has already cut his teeth outside of the organization and has shown he can be a great head coach. I know some people won't like the Josh McDaniels hire, but I'm a huge fan of it. For starters, he will never be poached and that was a huge concern for me hiring a defensive head coach (losing the o coordinator to a head coaching job). Second, while Josh is a horrible head coach, he is above average to great coordinator and with Drake Maye going into his second season, we need some stability there (honestly Alex Van Pelt wasn't bad, I was fine keeping him around). I don't know much about the new d coordinator, but anyone is better than the Mayo/Covington combination. Now if we could fire Eliot Wolf into the sun (with Matt Groh) that would make the coaching staff rebuild perfect. Wolf's first draft was beyond bad, with pretty much every pick a miss outside of Maye. He (and Groh) have been part of the brain trust with the recent bad drafts and now they are on their own outside of BB and the drafts are still crap.
  24. Wrestled in college for a small NAIA school and have coached HS for the last 11 years, connected with our local D1 a while back and once they got started broadcasting they reached out to have someone with some wrestling knowledge Not aspiring for a career at all, stay too busy with my day job and coaching, but I've done the commentary for the last three years
  25. I do commentary for a D1 on ESPN+ A few days before the dual I'll make a factsheet for both lineups with bullet points on each wrestler.. on the visiting team I try to do two deep at each weight since I'm not entirely sure who's wrestling up until right before the dual. This year I've been by myself more times than not, but they did add 1 minute between matches which has been super helpful to regroup (last year it was straight into the next match which makes it tough to give some background information) Generally, I try to be as non-biased as possible, give a few sentences worth of background information throughout the match, and try to saddle the line between grandparent at home and wrestling nerd parent, which can be a bit tough. It's a lot harder than it looks
