  1. You would be surprised at how much I would support family development, education, and needed support... including government services that goes against limited government preference.
  2. That was not written to you, rather the 'winger' slinging Red Viking.
  3. What gave you the impression I want the government to enforce limitation on free speech in the public square? I would ask the companies and celebrators to be considerate of those they share the square with. Cut back on the public nudity and sex innuendos around people (and children) with the the same right to share the square. We shouldn't need the government to enforce common sense. Just stop talking about sexuality at all in public places with folks that don't want it. If 7% of the US pop is LGBT... we don't need to make a big deal out of Jane and Jill on TV, shopping sections, and everywhere else in a way that is overdone and unnecessary.
  4. Does it bother you when a 'winger' shares research that the traditional family leads to better outcomes for the child, and that the traditional family has shrunk for children from 90% to 30%.
  5. It is sad that word games (euphemisms) are necessary to help people tolerate their personal decision to end an innocent life. That's not a baby, its a fetus. It's not a fetus, its a clump of cells. It's not alive. That's not deliberate murder, that's termination of a human life. No, its a medical procedure. No, its abortion. And then the way to get everyone to agree is to focus on the extremes... as if the majority wants the mother to die at the cost of her newborn. Those fascists want you to die! The don't believe in personal autonomy. Lies. Deceiving themself; too cowardly to face the truth of their decision. Too self-indulgent to care about the new life they created. The machine has been in the business of destroying the family for 100 years and counting. These young mothers probably can't even make their bed, how are they going to raise a child?
  6. Ugh. What is a pro-Palestine comment that you think would get you canceled? I don't mind pro-Palestine empathy but if those words support harassment and violence... I think you are right and my brain hurts. I believe teachers suck at suck at their job if they are intentionally imposing their beliefs on students and students feel pressure to conform to succeed. And that is specifically when the taught values conflict with mine. I want teachers to teach critical thinking without imposing their bias. I coach a youth baseball team and am intentionally teaching pride, discipline, and accountability as success enablers. Those without pride, who don't give their full effort and cry at mistakes, face consequences with playing time and opportunity. ... 19% comes from Pew Research. You seem to be shifting the focus. I'm talking about the noticeable increase in the celebration of non-straight sexual orientations, especially at Pride events. Don't get me wrong; I'm all for celebrating diversity and personal choices. I just think we could dial it down a bit and have a balanced approach in the public square. I don't look to Trump or Biden as moral beacons or role models. For me, it's about policy outcomes.
  7. 1. Are you in fear of losing your job if you share commonly held opinions at work or in public? Fear because a conservative is going to call your employer and try to get you fired? Karens and Chads exist on the conservative side too. Most conservatives I know will refrain from policing your freedom of speech. They won't invite you to their party but they aren't going to try to ruin your life. 2. It is better this year than last year, but maybe that's just me staying away from the city after the crimes committed against me. 3. Something like 19% of Biden supporters believe that having children and marriage is important. When is the last time you saw a TV show with a nuclear family? My children don't even know if they want to have children and one doesn't know about marriage. And this is tragic. Children raised apart from the care of both natural parents consistently experience lower developmental outcomes. A century ago (1920) almost all children (above 90 percent) grew to age eighteen with intact married biological parents; by 2020, less than a third (29 percent) could expect to do so (Parker, Horowitz, and Rohal 2015). Today less than 60 percent of children even begin life with married parents (Ventura 2009; Martin et al. 2019), and half of those who do will be denied the residential care of one or both parents before age eighteen (Amato 2000). link And we conservatives/all are getting force fed cultural support for abortion and self-interest over traditional family values.
  8. Technically correct but intellectual bullshit. We could get into the details, digging deeper. Were Biden's job new or recovered? Are Biden's jobs public or private? Are Biden's jobs full-time or part-time... Did my wife start working again because Biden created the job or because the purchase power is down? How are small businesses doing? Put that aside. Given an equal environment, who is more likely to create jobs that increase the worker's quality of life with more substance and breadth, without growing the government and national debt?
  9. Cancel culture. Sharing a conservative opinion put me at risk for cancel culture. I dared not speak up at work or social media. (e.g. fear installed) Crime. (e.g. fear installed) Minimizing public support for the nuclear family. (e.g. concern and anxiety for my children's future children)
  10. Covid should not have been weaponized. Trump shouldn't have given in to others with how he handled Covid. And that had an impact on inflation. It is not hard to disentangle the blame. How did Biden handle the same situation after having months to prepare? What else did Biden do that increased inflation?
  11. I was wrong and have revised my grade from an F to an A+. Does the president impact culture?
  12. Reread 'absolutely you' again to the question 'is the biggest factor in my quality of life......me, or the President.' and understand that is personal accountability.
  13. Is culture a big word with many slices to it? Is culture based on actions? Does having your 'side' in charge create empowerment to act? Did President Biden have an impact on culture? aggressively address inflation (no) condemn antisemitic comments from the left (no) enable the worst influx of illegal immigrants in history in consecutive years (yes) write off student debt (yes) portray half the country as evil, anti-democratic monsters (yes) Did President Trump have an impact on culture? Trump communicated a vision of making America great again, positively impacting nationalism. He incentivized bringing jobs back to America, which had real effects. He influenced power back to the states on abortion through Supreme Court judges. He implemented measures to slow illegal immigration while expressing support for legal immigration. The President impact is undeniably substantial. I've seen this on a 5K to 170K employee scale working for corporations with changing CEOs.
  14. Absolutely you. But the president impacts culture and policy. And culture makes it hard.
  15. The quality of life was significantly better under Trump for myself and everyone I know compared to Biden, and the difference isn't close. So, even if Trump meant what he said in jest, I will vote for him because presidential policy outcomes matter more than tact. As if these 'gotchas' matter... I do not relate to these people ------------ Policy Outcomes Over Personality: You have two choices of mechanics to get your car fixed. Who do you choose? Mechanic 1: Rude but fixes the car perfectly every time. Mechanic 2: Well-mannered but makes mistakes and doesn't always fix the problem. You have two choices of surgeons. Who do you choose? Surgeon 1: Brash bedside manner with good skill and a high success rate in the procedure you need. Surgeon 2: Friendly and empathetic bedside manner, with a much lower success rate for the procedure you need. I favor Trump and pick Mechanic 1 and Surgeon 1 because I prioritize effective outcomes over personal demeanor for those tasks. To be fair... Personality Over Outcomes: In a different context, consider you have two choices of teachers. Who do you choose for your child? Teacher 1: Great knowledge and curriculum but is harsh. Teacher 2: Decent understanding and curriculum but is kind and encouraging. I will select Teacher 2, prioritizing my child's emotional well-being and learning environment over the teacher's superior knowledge. The context is different and matters. Why do people engage in self-harm by holding onto the belief that the last four years were superior to the preceding four years, and advocating for four more years of discomfort?
  16. Self-harm is a sign of distress. are these TDS infected okay? really?
  17. This was known as real when released. Filter bubbles at work.
  18. Are you going to take personal responsibility for raining turds on the analogy?
  19. Biden and Trump are turds: Biden is a jagged rock that causes pain, while Trump is a golden turd that makes you wealthy but leaves a foul smell.
  20. Sorry folks - you read this and love Duck Duck Go Unfortunately, DuckDuckGo also has a filter bubble and search manipulation effect. It is censoring more results over time. And it still sucks overall with your most common searches. Google is great for maps and shopping. It's search engine is strong in left bias for anything political or culturally sensitive. Like the media, all the search enginees have a bias with how it ranks results and censors information. As we ramp up to the election, going to places like Twitter, Brave, DuckDuckGo, etc. can help pop your filter bubble.
  21. Search engines suck. Like pointed out here and here
  22. Women's College World Series is electric. It's like comparing a Savanah Bananas game to regular baseball. As in no comparison in the fun factor for the audience.
