  1. https://www.yahoo.com/news/elon-musk-doge-posts-classified-192500952.html The head counts and budget for the National Reconnaissance Office were visible. This is the federal agency that designs, builds and maintains U.S. intelligence satellites. Imagine you are malicious. What is the worst you can do with this information? Based on what’s been shared publicly, no danger was introduced to the US government and citizens. Frankly this is a blessing and wake up call to address security control.
  2. go to prison because an engineer in his department made a mistake?
  3. It is troubling. The government is attacked all the time. My company continually pays a large burden to secure government protected information, and it is necessary. We don’t need this to occur. https://energycommerce.house.gov/posts/what-we-learned-change-healthcare-cyber-attack The doge website mistake is not a surprise. What is the impact of this mistake? headcount and budget? Anything else revealed?
  4. The question I’m wondering /s is why this made the news but other regular gov occurrences are not front page news.
  5. “Show me a man that gets rich by being a politician, and I'll show you a crook.” We know there are crooks. Pork. Limited transparency. Rushed omnibus bills. Insider trading. Kickbacks. Non accountable spending. Signals of fraud. Gaslighting. Lies. Spending that even idiots know is wasteful. There may not be arrests for fraud, but it’s there.
  6. Musk’s comment went right over people’ heads. Previous discussion was about systems that predate SQL… paper based in mines, cobalt, mainframes… There is laughable discrepancy between public perception of government tech capabilities and the reality. Musk was writing game code published in magazines at age 12! He knows what SQL is. His comment was satire.
  7. Yes, Trump is accountable for the actions of everything under his time. That is irrelevant to the the claim of this spending being wasteful. Wasteful spending has been bipartisan. The dunking is on EVERYONE who is against transparency and waste reduction. Those complaining the loudest happen to be libs. Back to the question, could there be conflict of interest?
  8. The Thomson family and other investors own Thomson Reuters and the Reuters news agency. Could there be a conflict of interest?
  9. 100% support cutting social security in its current form, right now. Grandfather in the boomers. Draw a line in the sand. Cut it off. Deal with it. It isn't enough to survive on. Life isn't fair; least not social security. I'll pay in and get nothing later if that means one less problem for my kids. Or change it to be an investment. Ponzi schemes are criminal.
  10. The original story suggested that the purchase of Tesla vehicles was put forth by the Trump administration to benefit Mr. Musk. E.G. Conflict of interest. Oops. This potential line item was added before Trump took office and before Musk began his role at DOGE.
  11. Previously life long Democrat, ex student basketball manager, Outkick founder Clay Travis says "Democrats for men are pussies. There are no masculine men in the Democrat Party right now."
  12. This kind of white people warrant a government study.
  13. We got in trouble for posting signs on the bathrooms at work. At least HR sent communication about hygiene. Broadly shared since it is not PC to only notify the H1B1 Visas. I do not miss that office... I once counted 14 stalls across four floors before I could find an open stall. Why are there the same amount of bathrooms for girls in a building full of engineers? It was a problem in the old buildings repeated in brand new buildings. Real American Genius.
  14. Cornel's homeless wrestler is hard to take down and had an inspirational speech. You would never know he wrestled from his tweets.
  15. Friendly reminder that you are arguing with a sock puppet.
  16. Value for value; Zero problems observed. We shouldn't be interfering to begin with.
  17. I like Ron Paul's economic and foreign policy positions. He is associated with racism through association to people that have contributed content under his newsletters or social media. There is zero evidence that he wrote or approved that content, was associated to Operation Red Dog, and the like. I have never seen Ron Paul make direct racist comments and such, and I dug thoroughly when he was running for president. His views fit on small government, limited government intervention, etc. appeal to many types of people, including those that published content under his name. There is some smell there but I can't inspect it. There is substantially less evidence of Ron Paul being racist as compared to the direct comments that people like Joe Biden are on direct record for saying. Ron Paul gets A grades for his passion and economic positions. I have no idea if he has the skills to actually run the audit... more of a figure head type person that can make decisions but not likely in the details.
  18. What is your stance on speeding in an emergency? What is absolutely illegal about DOGE? Have you read the EO? https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/establishing-and-implementing-the-presidents-department-of-government-efficiency/ Obama made an executive order to create the United States Digital Service. Trump renamed USDS to DOGE. These DOGE teams are larger than special government employees like Musk and Big Balls. DOGE Teams. In consultation with USDS, each Agency Head shall establish within their respective Agencies a DOGE Team of at least four employees, which may include Special Government Employees, hired or assigned within thirty days of the date of this Order. Agency Heads shall select the DOGE Team members in consultation with the USDS Administrator. Each DOGE Team will typically include one DOGE Team Lead, one engineer, one human resources specialist, and one attorney. Agency Heads shall ensure that DOGE Team Leads coordinate their work with USDS and advise their respective Agency Heads on implementing the President ‘s DOGE Agenda. Agency Heads shall take all necessary steps, in coordination with the USDS Administrator and to the maximum extent consistent with law, to ensure USDS has full and prompt access to all unclassified agency records, software systems, and IT systems. USDS shall adhere to rigorous data protection standards. This Executive Order displaces all prior executive orders and regulations, insofar as they are subject to direct presidential amendment, that might serve as a barrier to providing USDS access to agency records and systems as described above. It's just insane that anyone would work so hard to cover up government corruption. But I guess some leaders are raking in the dough from it, or they’re scared stiff to lose power when the truth comes out. And how can everyday folks support those who want to keep this mess in the dark? Then you've got Elon Musk, getting all this flak just for trying to do something good for everyone.
  19. Great! The federal government has spent $711 billion more than it has collected in fiscal year (FY) 2025, and is on track to spend ~2T it does not have. Will there be mistakes made? Yes. Is the speed worth it? Absolutely.
  20. Did it work? Sometimes people need a good slap to wake them from their delusions. This isn't pedantics. Musk is not president. He is not all powerful. He is advising on how to make the government more efficient, in alignment with Agenda 47, in alignment with what the majority of the country supports.
  21. Did you watch the Rogan interview? I'll admit some speeches are more coherent than others... But listen to the man in long form and it is not the story the media says...
  22. Something about this seems shady... Profiting off a non profit Reinstated to leadership after being fired for lying A sister claiming abuse at his hands
  23. it’s just scouts now discuss
