A lot of valid and great points being made on this PSU topic. Just adding that it is possible that a lot of these wrestlers aren't as invested in folk style as they are in believing PSU is the place to achieve international success. Take Luke for instance who is on record saying winning an Olympic gold is his main objective.

I think Cael has created an environment that there is only a loyalty to wrestling. He's only selling the narrative that it's the best room in the country. If a guy is not good enough to start then that's just the game. It'll be interesting to see how sustainable this is.

I think it would make more sense for Gabe to transfer at that point rather than go up to 197. Gabe has found himself in an interesting situation. I don't know why so many just assume he's better than Kennedy. I think a lot of Arnold's issues this year to generate offense was more than just the size disadvantage. We see it a lot with particular wrestlers who could overpower their opponents in high school and then move up to the college level and plateau. His defense is still elite but he has a long way to go on the offensive side
