No, it seems very close. And I should have been more clear, I meant very close in the swing states. Trump will get smashed in the overall vote, again, but somewhat of a pointless metric at this point. I saw some of the polls guys talking about poll herding, to make sure they're not way wrong again, and thus the polls are actually OVER sampling the Trump vote. I think that's hopium, imo. It's going to be tight and we won't know for several days. If I had to pick, I'd pick Harris, but I'm biased, lol, so obviously my opinion is colored by that.

So you're saying if Hamas murders more Israeli women and children, it's ok if they believe it's justified? Because, newsflash, they do think it's justified. For me, that doesn't change anything. We remove the complex politics out of it because there are dead kids caused by the violent acts of adults, which is neither a reason to celebrate nor "politically complex." The kids are very simply dead.

Listen, as long as you all can just own th fact that you're ok with the fact that children were killed, we can end this discussion. You trying to dodge it by blaming everyone but the people who killed them isn't serving any distinction. Guess what, people who think the opposite of you on the other side of the world are making the same excuses for Hamas' actions on 10/7. Maybe we should just be anti-child murder, but, you know, "#CodePink" or whatever. Your unwillingness to just say you'er ok with the dead kids shows the lack of a moral underpinning with regards to this issue, especially since this whole discussion started with the request for a "round of applause" request for the actions that resulted in said dead children.

Great podcast!

Great, so now you're inside the IDF team, they knew exactly where every one of those pagers were and who was around when they detonated them?

I'm talking about killing children. You're talking about the political situation. You're just blindly assuming, for your own political purposes, that I am in favor of Hamas or what they did on October 7. I'm not. That doesn't mean Israel should be allowed to wantonly kill Palestinian civilians and children, or more relevantly to this actual discussion, kill children in Lebanon by recklessly sending bonds and indiscriminately blowing them up. You're not going to believe this, it's possible to not support either side in a conflict.
-
Ok, so it's ok to just blindly send bombs into other countries, and...accidentally kill children.. Got it.
-
This situation is actually about people in Iran, not Gaza. Also, just to be clear, even if it was about Hamas in Gaza, you are saying that you think Israel should be allowed to kill the Palestinian children. Am I getting it right?

I'd have to sit on my thoughts for a minute to give a full-fledged list, but my favorite movie of all-time, still, is the Princess Bride. Combination of genuine comedy, fantasy, action, romance. A perfect movie.

So prepare yourselves for right wingers to complain again about the votes not being immediately known on election night, thanks to rules they themselves change, provided this doesn't run afoul of State law. https://apnews.com/article/georgia-state-election-board-rules-da1f271f360b15353abebdf9ff183b3d Apparently, the 3 voters for this proposal also, coincidentally I'm sure, were publicly praised by Donald Trump last month.

I'm not sure what your point here is? Did I ever say it's never been discussed before? There is an active, current push to do this NOW, immediately, within 50 days, and part of the reasons for the wait has been some pushback from elected Republicans in Omaha itself as well as from the fact that Maine's laws apparently say any changes to their system have to happen at 90 days out. That's why Lindsey Graham, a man elected in South Carolina, is actively skipping Senate votes to go to Nebraska, a state where is not elected, to try to push them to change their laws.

That isn't really what happened here, as these kids weren't anywhere near any sort of active battle theater, nor did the 8 year old child have a knife, either metaphorical or otherwise. Got it, so if someone comes to your neighborhood and kills a bunch of people, including your children, you have the right to kill his children. Am I getting it right?
-
Firstly, not a term. Secondly, under this hypothetical, you're saying you support that if someone starts a fight, it's ok to kill their kids?

I would imagine so, he's polling so badly it's perceived to be having a negative effect on Trump, too. Robinson was polling in the mid 30s at one point, not sure about now, and Harris was polling very competitively with Trump. I think it's a fair assumption to make that he was pulling Trump down, somewhat like Mastriano was perceived to have done in PA.
-
Sure, I suppose. I would probably use the term "cunning" more than ingenious, just for connotations purposes.
-
Great. There are still actual children dead. So, no, I won't applaud.
-
No, I don't tend to applaud when children die.
