Yes, in a pure capitalistic sense...but our sport really exists (in modern times) on the largesse of other sports. Sports socialism, if you will.

Not on his list, but I'm wondering if Rutgers makes sense, which is something I think @Husker_Du posited long ago. Not as prestigious but more room to spread out and they'll at least be competing in front of a real crowd. Gonna have to swallow a pill on the NIL though. You're not going to believe this, but many people don't view every story that happens thru the prism of sports Fandom, and I'm not a person who hates PSU like that, anyway. You're the one here just dismissing multiple people making similar claims as if a college wrestler is likely to attract some sort of conspiracy against them. What you've decided to do is just ignore the allegations of multiple women and his teammate with no evidence other than your gut while assuming the best from a guy who hasn't even responded. One of is is definitely biased, but it ain't me.

Not totally ludicrous, since if the goods were never found, and there's no video of Starocci with them, and there's no admission....that's it. So if this happened and was more about Starocci getting "revenge" or just messing with Bartlett, and he just took the items and destroyed them/got rid of them...that's unlikely to result in an arrest unless either Carter admits or someone provides actual evidence of it happening.

The only thing that felt good was that I felt that Bartlett had taken some unwarranted shade from the community and from his own fans. And I made a great joke about Bartlett and his wrestling offense. The actual allegations are disturbing, though.

Ironic that after years of being criticized for not having enough offense, Bartlett may have just taken down Carter Starocci and Cael Sanderson simultaneously.

As its an investigation, any contact can be refused. Police can then "bring him downtown" and interview him formally, which if they did that, he would theoretically HAVE to attend, but could refuse to answer any questions. That's the 5th Amendment to the Constitution i.e. "you have the right to remain silent..."

Which is crazy, that's my absolute favorite thing about them. This is an entertainment product. I've been less enthused by their on-the-mat product, but I'll admit to being pleasantly surprised with some improvements these last two years with on the mat production and style.

I think this is a great summation. When the Taylor to Iowa rumors were swirling, i was pro. Outside of him, I don't think there's a candidate that moves the needle that way available right now. Even Burroughs, who has only just in the last month expressed any interest in coaching.

We use jury trials to determine if we are taking away someone's freedom or we're going to force them to pay money/do something they don't want to do. Other than that, we make our determinations every day if we think someone is guilty or innocent of a crime at whatever standard we as individuals deem needed.
