  1. No, but they weren't receiving the financial benefits of the trips. And charging the Secret Service more than others.
  2. https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/trump-administration-poised-accept-palace-sky-gift-trump/story?id=121680511
  3. $400 million. Sure. And each trip to one of his golf courses, where he benefits from the costs paid (and charges the Secret Service more than he charges people like, oh hey, look, the Qatari royal family!) https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2025/mar/17/trump-golf-taxes Personally benefits him multiple times the yearly salary he donates. Each trip. No.
  4. They've already announced they're transferring the new jet to the Trump presidential library at the conclusion of his term.
  5. Federal charges in this area are more likely (though not guaranteed) to be more serious. They often implicate allegations of human trafficking or similar things. My hope is this is more of an allegation of a simple street transaction.
  6. Yes, but there are some charges that can be both. What i was saying, though, is that i hope that this is a state-level offense, i.e. the factual allegations are state level.
  7. Crossing fingers this is a state level offense if it turns out to be true.
  8. Yes. He and his family and friends are enriching themselves using their positions in the government by previously unseen amounts, far beyond anything that people have tried to accuse Joe Biden of (and refused to actually try to prove in court) thru things like this jet, the meme coin sell offs (having enriched the Trump familyby some $3 billion since taking office), and market manipulation.
  9. And then transferring it to his presidential library in 2029. Just unbelievable levels of grift. This is on top of all the meme coin bs.
  10. A guy on the Hawkeye board indicated these were potentially federal charges which would make the situation a crapload more serious.
  11. This one caught me off guard.
  12. You guys keep trying to shift the arguments to different things as they suit you. It's adorable, but seriously, try harder. Biden was president when the charges were dropped. Good talk.
  13. ....she was arrested in 2019. Who was the president then? Hmmmm.....
  14. Yeah why isn't everybody aware of every story that ever happens?
  15. Is it possible to just type a coherent thought? You're just babbling.
  16. So now you've moved on from the made up sanctuary city thing into a new conspiracy theory?
  17. Maybe unicorns have taken up residence in Southie? Let's just keep making stuff up.
  18. Ethics hearings don't require a violation of any law at all. All criminal charges against her were dropped.
  19. It's an ethics hearing, not a criminal proceeding, I already said this. The worst outcome is she's removed from the bench or disbarred. A serious outcome, but she's not facing charges.
  20. Honest to God, you guys could at least read your own articles. She was arrested 6 or 7 years ago (the article isn't clear on the exact date), charges were dropped, she's facing an ethics hearing now from that conduct.
  21. The Church is clearly trying to avoid the tariffs.
  22. That's not what precedent is
  23. The courts disagree. I didn't. But even if I did, what you're failing to understand is it doesn't matter. Someone else breaking the law doesn't give every subsequent person permission to do so.
