I haven't been able to go for a few years now due to work, but that doesn't stop me from "working" in front of 4 screens with some good food and better drinks. I'm really hoping to ruin my cholesterol since I'm also missing the Boston Marathon next month unfortunately.

This year's menu includes two-day pickle juice brined chicken wings that I'll bread and fry, buffalo chicken dip on the electric smoker for quick results, and I've got a brisket that started the rubbing process today that will go into the real smoker Friday night. I'll probably do a sandwich or two in the electric for lunch, like a cuban or pastrami. I want to be bigger than Bouzakis at the ice cream stand when it's all over with.

Liquids will be strictly limited to: water, Bardstown (bottled in bond or Fusion #7), Tryptich and Half Acre varietals, water with LMNT lemonade while curled in the "I'm over 40" fetal position, and a nice Macallen 12 Saturday night.

That covers breakfast Thursday morning, so what is on the menu for lunch day 1?

On Thursday every year I only eat cereal all day - a holdover from being 24 and making only 30k a year that I've just kept for tradition.  For Friday and Saturday, I have a menu prepared of more traditional fare

Jeez treat your self to this fine cuisine

Chicken flavored ramon noodles

Mix in 2 eggs over easy

And top it off with shredded pepperjack cheese

I too know how to ball on a budget

Full of un-bias blasphemy.

Would bbq yellow tailed hawk wings be a good Thursday option?

After the NBA nixed Magic City lemon pepper wings this is definitely the best option

Sativa pen, sativa gummies and probably a very large bowl of sour Starburst and plenty of other junk nobody should eat. It's the end of the season, we don't have to make weight anymore.

If in Cleveland for the tournament I'd suggest a stop at Mabel's BBQ is a great eat. They use Bertman's Stadium Mustard, a Cleveland institution in some of their sauces. Only been a few times but never ate anything there I did want seconds.

Restaurant was founded by Michael Symon, the celebrity chef, a longtime Ohio wrestling supporter, and a former St. Edward wrestler.

I think he has stands at the arena, browns and guardians stadiums, and other restaurants throughout the country.

How many state titles did he win? It better be more than one or I'm not eating there.

Still in KC, but was in Chicago a couple weekends ago where I was introduced to the Chicago Handshake.

Ok, I must know. What’s the electric smoker and what’s the “real” smoker? Your answer could very well determine if we become best friends or not…

That’s cool…I didn’t know he wrestled or was a fan. Loved BBQ USA…he was in town for the Qlathe contest in season 1.

My electric is a Masterbuilt and real is a Traeger. Electrics are underrated... they don't replace the real deal, but they are solid. Great for when you find out in the morning that you're having folks over later or if you want something good but in smaller portions and the ROI for using the real deal doesnt add up (like wings or poor man's burnt ends and some mac n chz for a one-person lunch)

Ah yep. I had one of the electric masterbuilts…they work well for small cooks for sure. Ended up giving to my mother-in-law when I bought my Recteq. Love it. My “real” smoker is my gateway drum if I feel like dealing with charcoal and want some extra smoke.
