Bold comment! Not sure I agree with it but I don’t want anyone leaving the squad regardless

If he wrestles like he does his true freshman year but adds the 2 years of experience to it he'll be a monster I know his sophomore year he kind of regressed but his true freshman year he was an animal that went out and attacked and was taken ranked guys down left and right if we see that Lemley then watch out

I agree with your statements that he looked better his first year and seemed to wrestle more aggressive/free. Also that he took a step back in year 2. He wrestled a few matches last season and looked better than the field at MSU, but he wasn’t blowing through the competition in a way that suggests he’s about to be a sure thing to AA. We will see how everything shakes out, tho. Doubt the staff is pushing him out the door purposefully, so they must have an idea

Jordan Williams wrestling pretty well in the US Open. Pinned Jaxon Joy. Really hope he can find a school where the academics works out and he gives it one last run somewhere

Joy was banged up to be fair just prefacing that

A school where the academics work out?  What does that mean?

Willie has repeatedly said that Williams will have issues being academically eligible as a transfer anywhere he goes. I don't know exactly what that means (grades/classes taken/major/credit transfers/about to be at 4th school in 4 years) but it seems that is why his portal noise has been quieter.

Cochran could be a good get , he was brooks daily training partner for a few years and has a few good wins on his resume

Would absolutely take him at 197 in Ann Arbor

Is Cochran the only PSU guy in the portal?

I would take a just about anyone at 97, safe to say that Walters isn’t the answer, he has no offense. Frustrating to watch.

Terps and Lakers are the only teams with a positive net figure.  Although, the value of the outgoings and incomings is not equal.

Maryland lost:
Jaxon Smith, Kal Miller, Tyler Garvin, Presden Sanchez
gained:
Nicolar Rivera, Caio Aron, Julian George, Latrell Schafer Carson Thomas

Mercyhurst lost: no one
gained: Brayden Adams

Agreed. Dearth of options in the portal at the weight, unfortunately. Frustrating would be an understatement from my reactions to his matches this season.

I’m sure Bormet and co will just bump Brock to 197 and allow him to cook 20 pounds under weight while they bump Beau and run Haakon Peterson out at 174, Cat at 165, with Wolbert, Lemley, Sement, Mendoza, and Bortero, utilizing the logjam at middle weights to fill voids beneath Brock….This was a joke until I actually started typing it out, and now I’m sad it may be true.

I would include DZ or Gilcher in these but they are both coming off of injuries and the timeline for return is murky. Also, Haakon Peterson is too small for 174.

Would not be surprised to see Cochran at Utah Valley... He's from Utah and Adam Hall is 2-2 in getting PSU backups on the podium.

Good catch - You are correct.  He did have a great US Open.  I think UVU will be in the mix for Cochran. They have Bennie back at 197 who was a NQ. Cochran wrestled Heavy this season and is in the portal as a Heavy.

Yes, Evans did have a great open - beating Vito. I thought he would find his way to the podium like Bear Claw but did not work out.

They don't put a weight when they enter.  We/the media does.
