Le duke Posted April 17 Posted April 17 Technically Henson was Gaj's emergency backup this past year. In actuality Henson is a menace who's only public result this year was taking Bronze in a bracket that Kasak DNP in at Zagreb with two huge wins. ICYMI, Kasak beat Henson in December…Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

SVN beat Henson at the ncaa tournament they both wrestled 3 years at 149 and have identical records. Van ness has wrestled those 3 years in a much better conference then Henson and has bonus rate over 20 points higher in 3 ncaa tournaments Van ness has 10 bonus wins with 4 pins while Henson has 3 BW(1 tech ,2 majors) Does any of that point to Henson being the favorite going in? Other the projecting this magical jump he’s made in your head and people keep bringing up ridge or Aden Valencia we re talking SvN vs Henson not them and last they wrestled Van ness had 2 takedowns to 0 and controlled the entire match. These are just facts I’m convinced half of yall never wrestled in your lives with some of the stuff you say. Person A beat person b so he’ll definitely beat person c it’s nonsense wrestling is about match ups and styles. Like really how do you see Henson winning the match ? Be detailed how is he going to score bc the way I see it as bad of a match up Ridge is for SVN , SVN is that to Henson. I’ve always rooted for Vtech they been bringing in NJ guys since I was hs . Ive known Devon , Brandon and Shannon Carter forever and I was super pumped when Bassett and Miller flipped to Vtech but watching this fanbase slowly transform into toxic and obnoxious bunch like the PSU /ok state/ Iowa fans nowadays it’s disappointing. I know yall are excited and you should be but you guys just had a pretty bad ncaas so maybe pump the brakes a bit. not reading all this "Half measures are a coward's form of insanity."
Hokiefan13 Posted April 28 Posted April 28 For those that paid attention to the US Open, I am now even more confident in the VT upcoming lineup. Ryan Burton showed he is a true threat at potentially 174, Bo Bassett very well may win 4 straight titles, dude is an absolute dawg and beat the defending 149 champ (Valencia). Mullen looked good at the Open, hoping he can finally make an all American jump this year, Sonny seems like sorta a loose cannon still, might AA, might not qualify, he just can’t stay consistent. 1
Go Hokies Posted April 28 Posted April 28 My Hokies will have a very good dual lineup next year........ Granted, there are some unknowns. However, this line-up on paper is probably Top 5. Ventresca Seidel Bassett Henson Gaj Ninninger Burton Desiante Sasso Mullen Trying to be as neutral as possible, they could have three finalists, another Two high AA, and possibly two lower AA's. Not bad for a program that almost dissolved ten years ago. As a wrestling alum, my heartfelt thanks go out to Coach Dresser and Coach Robie! 1

I think Seidel will redshirt and Nicholas Garcia/Dillon Campbell will be 133 while Aaron makes the transition up to 141

May buy that flight early. Good chance its best home dual of year for OSU. Hopefully some Hokies fans make the trip ... let's not forget the Hokie - Pokie. .

There will be rules eventually. enjoy being a cheater until then. it is very common in my area for kids who are struggling academically and late bloomers to repeat 7th grade when changing from public to private schools to get them back on track. Also, these days, kids born after September are often held back from starting Kindergarten so they don’t have to be the youngest kids in their class or because they aren’t quite ready to make the jump. To call these kids cheaters seems a bit over the top. I don’t know Miller’s specifics but someone said he is an October birthday so it isn’t even a real advantage over the early year birthdays anyways.

scorenomore Posted May 3 Posted May 3 Here is my most optimistic VT finish including Melvin Miller. He should be taking summer classes and hit the roster in January! https://tinyurl.com/2bleyoeu

Would be surprised. They went out and got Garcia in large part for another lower weight training partner for EV. If he does want to explore his options I think VT might end up retaining him anyways.

LOL thats not parenting, its abuse.

If you have a good relationship with your kids then they are happy about it. if you understand the time value of money, graduating with no debt and $100K in the bank is life changing!
