Real Woods is the real deal but I have real concerns

Made a post in another thread and made me want to check something. Woods was outscored 34-6 in second periods between the open and trials. On the other hand, he outscored his opponents between those two events 61-3 in the first. We may have our very own American Musuakaev.

He gassed super hard against Taz at the olympics too had the match in the bag.

Great observation and stat. Part of it imo is that Woods isn't a huge 65er, but also that he's trying to wrestle a more controlled match if he has a lead going into the second period, as he mentioned trying to get smarter in freestyle. Conditioning is rarely an issue for guys who have toughed it out in the Iowa wrestling room, and Woods didn't seem to have a gas tank problem at the Muhamet Malo tournament in February. A bigger concern might be progressing his style. It's just a matter of time before international guys scout his floppy level change and start countering it.
