Anyone hear something crazy recently?

as someone who has a family member who's a sex worker, imho sex work should be legalized and regulated which would cut down on 95% of the harmful aspects of sex work (trafficking, ties to organized crime, etc). but whatever, it is what it is and snyder did this in the US so it's likely a misdemeanor and a legal slap on the wrist.

if he's looking up ads online and going to a random hotel, it's very likely not his first rodeo. feel bad for his family unless they have an open relationship, but given his vocal religious views, that seems unlikely.

i think the more important questions as they relate to this wrestling board:

1. will snyder still be eligible for final X & world team?
2. if snyder is in (i'd assume so until hearing otherwise), how will this affect his performance? i'm guessing there'll be more serious repercussions reputation & community-wise than on the legal side of things.. will he still be able to perform at the same level? will god still have his back?
3. if snyder is out, how would this affect team USA worlds prospects? replacing snyder with Aiello or maybe a 92kg moving up?

There was discussion in the “NLWC News” thread but they locked it.  Wasn’t even really anything over the top that I saw.

1. If it's a misdemeanor than he should be

2. He'll win Final X regardless.  I'm sure it will/would have an impact against the top level international guys. 

3. We won't medal without Kyle and even with him it's not a guarantee.

Pretty good ! Got a bit serious for a few minutes even, when "Core-dog" went off the rails.  I would put it over the "Eastbound and Down" finale, but probably not "Vice Principals"

He needs to take a step away from wrestling and fix his life and focus on his wife and kids. As others have said, you don't just go out and do this one day out of nowhere.  There is a build up and I'm sure its not his first time.  What a piece of crap. His wife is now going to have to get tested for all kinds of terrible things. I hope she leaves him and takes him for everything that he's worth.

At first I thought the Corey heel turn was out of place but then it clicked that Danny McBride was tying it in with Elijah Gemstone (Bradley Cooper).  The kids were sh*t heads (still are) but the light bulb finally goes off.  They earn the golden bible.

I agree with the first part -- that he needs to step away and work it out with family.  But why call him a piece of crap? The state I live in this isn't even an issue, and I believe it should be decriminalized everywhere. I've heard some saying he's often preaching morals to people, so he's called a hypocrite. I can't speak to this because I'm not in the know here. I do see how this is no doubt devastating to his wife and kids, and I feel for them.

The issue is that we can assume this isn't his first trip to a sex worker in some capacity and since it isnt legal 95% (your number, not mine) of that industry is still harmful. Statistically speaking its likely he came across a woman who was in dire need of his help and is still being trafficked or just as likely he's encountered a woman who's now dead.

Read some of your posts and not that I do not agree with your overall sentiment I'm curious as to what you believe should be his punishment?  Public humiliation?  Stiff legal ramifications?  No longer allowed to wrestle?

Biggest impact of this outside of his family IMO is I could see many elementary/middle/high schools, maybe even colleges not want him on their property.   It seemed like he would probably make a good coach some day, maybe he still will but this will likely limit his options and will always be hanging over him

fine, time, whatever, that isnt what concerns me atm. its the amount of people who don't care or are just giving him a pass. boiling it down to a small ethics issue and it isnt that simple. 

 

he knowingly broke the law, probably many times, at the risk of innocent peoples lives.

For a time being but in the long run everyone loves a comeback story.  Lot's of opportunity to monetize this on the Christian network.

Why would PSU delete a Snyder thread?  It has been established (since this weekend) that he has absolutely no association with PSU!  This PSU involvement was all a crazy rumor that seems to come up around WTT, OTT, and UWW events.
