I realize they are used to it, but do you really think Iowa fans should be "damn happy" with losing?

Would you prefer three champions or a team title and nine AA?

Your statement is incorrect.

Five push-outs will always score more points than two takedowns in MFS under the current rules, mathematically speaking.

Not two fireman's carries. 😉

Fireman is F2B not a TD (in MFS) innit?

Three champions.

Even if the 9 AA also has Champions as well?

Think this season, but Parco or Teemer don't flake out and one wins it all as well as Ayala?

Taking Penn State 10/10 times there.

Edit:  Don't have the time or energy today, nor a horse in this race so I recuse myself with a farewell statement that the guy with more points had his hand raised as the victor, and that proves pushout > takedowns in that match.

“Iowa” fans care more about folkstyle.  So yeah, I do think they’d be happy that a guy who won’t start for them for like 3 or 4 more years showed to be on about the same (maybe higher) folkstyle level as PSU’s currently projected starter

I have no horse in the race either but all freestyle pushouts are not the same.  Some leg in the air, walk 'em out for a free point would be pulled back to center in folk, some are under Hook sumo pushouts.

Iowa fans have long clamored for a pushout rule in folkstyle.  Well in Mocco vs Mirasola the wrestler who scored all the takedowns lost and the wrestler who won scored all his points on pushouts.

Putting aside that the Iowa recruit lost, did Iowa fans enjoy seeing a match decided by who was better at pushouts?

push outs really suck and atleast in sumo it is more fun watching giants in diapers than athletes playing king of the mountain on a flat mats. I don't care for stalling calls either, unless it is truly running away or just keeping your toe in so you can be considered in bounds and burn clock.

The cope is getting more and more exaggerated.     Bassett "looked good" losing, Mocco had takedowns while getting horsed around despite a weight advantage...  even a future potential recruit in Miller "won" by not getting destroyed by Duke.    The only thing all three shared was losing.

Incorrect.

They shared many things, including:

They all placed.

Two of the them share the same house.

I’m not an Iowa fan so haven’t seen everything they said, but I haven’t seen much excitement over Bassett losing.  Did see some PSU fans gloating that he lost though IIRC.

Those folks are as petty as they come...

Had a client come in to work today who was more excited about Bo losing than any of the PSU guys winning. I imagine that can go both ways though.

Spend some time on the Iowa board and tell me it isn't a tie.

All those things were said on this board.

It's the real cesspool. Also they should be more concerned With PJ Duke being one questionable call away from losing to a HS sophomore.

JMO but I feel like I’ve seen PSU fans on BWI or whatever they’re calling it these days talk negatively about wrestlers more often than Iowa fans on HR or whatever they’re calling it these days. The Iowa fans do like talking negatively about the PSU fans though

It’s cute not taking down a high school junior….  After spending a year in the room with Karl and all those practice partners and calling it a “win”.

A sophomore who is out of U17 eligibility.  Jayden James is a grade older and a year younger for example.

Miller lost, Bassett lost, Mocco lost...and we're to the "questioning the officiating" page in your program for those following along.

It was an objectively questionable call.

They didn’t try to recruit over him to get Mocco for no reason.

What does Michael Mocco weigh?  Honestly he looks more to me like a 197lber/97kg'er than a HWT.  He doesn't have papa Mocco's build at all.  Reminds me more of Snyder.  Kid has great technique but unless he has a growth sport, he looks like he's always going to be a bit undersized against the big boys.

you are right. high school juniors don't add any weight between now and the time he turns 20 (senior year 18, RS year 19, freshman 20). dumbass lol he will add 10+ lbs. per year.

You realize Duke is a HS Junior, right? One whopping year apart, disturbing for sure. I thought they were even closer in actual age, aren’t they?

They’re both extremely elite besides any of that, any win at that level and of that caliber is a good win. You’ve got some more uncontrollable spite going on, manage it for hell sake
