LOL...so again, you admit he never said "regret" and then did everything in your power to magically understand what he is thinking and feeling...come on man?!?!

Let's play a game to get at what I assume is the real reason you said he "regrets" something....say the hypothetical in your brain was actually true and Elon all of sudden is against Trump, and regrets ever working with/for him, would you magically change your stance on Elon and all of a sudden becomes a supporter of his again??  Or will you continue your blind hate??

Why would I need to admit he never said regret when I never said he said regret? This really is not the "aha" you were planning was it?

But as long as we are parsing words, the definition of regret is - feel sad, repentant, or disappointed over (something that has happened or been done, especially a loss or missed opportunity).

In his CBS Morning News interview Musk said he was disappointed with the budget bill and that it undermined his work at DOGE. So stop with the he never said...

And yes, I think someone who uses "just can't stand it anymore", "massive", "outrageous", "pork-filled", "disgusting", "abomination", "shame", and "wrong" in a three sentence message is expressing his disappointment and regret. Then to follow it up with "In November next year, we will fire all politicians who betrayed the American people" drives that message home. Those are not the words of someone who is happy with his time spent among politicians.

And forget about your hypothetical. I do not hate Elon Musk. Just because I do not fawn over him, you and others jump to an incorrect conclusion (or as you like to call it the hypothetical in your brain). I am, however, very wary of Elon Musk, along with Peter Thiel, Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, Alex Karp (especially Alex Karp), the US government (check out the deal they are doing with Palantir), the Chinese government, the Russian government, and everyone else trying to monopolize personally identifiable data to weaponize it against me (or even just to sell me crap).

It is the reason that I do not have Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, or log into Google, or turn on my location on my phone any more than I need to, etc.

LOL...okay...you sure put a lot of "thought" into what he said to come to your conclusion...I guess we are just different that way...I don't listen to these yahoo's and then overanalyze it to see if there is another meaning to what they said...but you do you.  And you don't hate Elon...again...okay...guess I shouldn't have jumped to that conclusion based on you posting history about him.  🙄

Now he has regrets?  Thanks for nothing.

Now Trump might have regrets about bringing Elon on.  He responds:

But do you believe Musk ran away because of no EV mandate?

Maybe, I also believe Musk thinks that the BBB “undermines the work that the DOGE team is doing.”

As sh1tty as Musk is, he did seem to legitimately care about trying to reduce spending, even though he didn’t really succeed.

Oh, so now we don't believe anything Trump says?

LOL...he's talking about his FEELINGS. I believe he is "very disappointed in Elon."

That's not the same as me believing Covid is a "hoax" or that there are "Millions of people over 120 receiving Social Security."

No shot. Musk publicly supported eliminating the EV tax credit before Trump became President.

I think Musk is self serving and realizes that if we continue down the path we've been on with regard to the debt, it's going to hurt everyone.

I don't like either, but some of this is getting petty. Cutting the SpaceX contracts hurts everyone.

This Bill is also going to hurt everyone. And there's not going to be a "68% tax increase" unless this bill goes through. That's...jus ridiculous.

Let this sink in.

Trump wants to increase the deficit in order to give the wealthiest people tax cuts. (The people that don't need them and already have more money than they can spend.)

It only takes 3rd grade level logic to see how astoundingly wrong this is.

Now we just need the Senate to dig deep and match 3rd grade logic long enough to ditch this big fat crooked bill.

Serious question.  Not counting extending the 2017 cuts, what new elements of the bill “give the wealthiest people tax cuts”?

Maybe I’m missing some elements of the bill, but I have to agree with @ionel here, I don’t think it’s really fair to say the wealthy are getting “more” cuts if their percentage cuts are lower.

🤣  Wow...you are trying to use things that had not happened yet when you made your comment as proof of the comment you made?  Come on...

Funny part is, I am surprised it took this long for this feud to happen...two megalomaniacs trying to work together was never going to work.  But I also agree with what DOGE is doing, and I agree that the spending bill is ridiculous in some parts of it.  But I also know it doesn't matter who is in office, it is rinse and repeat every 4 years.

Anyway, back to the point, I still don't think Musk regrets anything (my opinion), he probably just realizes that the two of them can't work together because only one can be the alpha in that situation...and like children, and unfortunately in today's day and age some adults, having a public feud over social media which has got to be the dumbest thing to do.
