Gotta say I’m disappointed in Bo and Carter for the amount of time they are taking to respond on twitter.

For sure they will whine.   Bo probably more.   Some psu fans will make some snide comments on this forum as well.    Will they denigrate Wyatt?   Maybe.

I mean check that poll out for best psu wrestler ever.  Cstall has 5 of 94 total votes.   That's pretty telling.

Take away the biased Oklahoma State/CWC and Penn State/NLWC votes and then what are we left with?

Current and future Iowa transfers obviously

with former wrestlers + NLWC members, PSU has a huge share of the votes

I wonder if the 3 Mesenbrink voters were PSU guys, I guess they didn’t get the memo that the PSU vote should go to Starocci

I can't argue with Hendrickson winning the Hodge. What a year he had and he capped it off by doing something considered impossible. Congrats to Wyatt Hendrickson who is now a legend.

Congrats.

Is he the first ever Hodge winner who won the year he transferred to a new team?

Good question. I think Metcalf won it the first season he was eligible after transferring from VT, but as we know he had to sit out a year with the rules at the time being what they were. Under the current transfer rules and pay incentives we'll probably see more first year transfer Hodge winners in the future.

I would guess that 2 of those 3 are Ben's.  Maybe Cael went 2 for Carter 1 for MM?

The criteria is about dominance.  Not about cool accomplishments.  Once get your head around that, it makes sense.

I congratulate Hendrickson, but I’d also point out that Carter had a higher bonus percentage than Hendrickson—which, of course, suggests that he was more dominant than Hendrickson. Hodge voting is inherently subjective though and many years, like this year, multiple people have a strong case.

Who do we think Steveson voted for with his two votes lol

Considering before the tournament, he said Carter would win the championship and not his own teammate who had a super close match with Carter, I would guess Steveson voted for Carter
