Alleged 'R' word accusation.

It was legit one of the reasons he didn't get on so well in WWE.  Folks bring that up and it doesn't bode well to listeners or performers.

That is low, even for you. Maggots take a higher road.

Is the point in the room with us? Most aren't blaming the athletes.. it's the lack of accountability for not showing any attempts at offense and the reluctance to call stalling to enforce a change in behavior.

It's not low, it's true. The allegations influence perception, whether it happened or not

I'm not even sure what you're arguing here.

It's low - because it's not true. It's been proven false.

Taking advantage of an allegation that has already been proven false is maggot level low.

I don't think anything has been proven false. Not pursuing charges doesn't mean it's not true. But that wasn't my point anyway. The allegations happened and that influences what people think.

He won't see Masoumi, not this year anyway. Masoumi can't get past Zare, who is still pretty young and will probably represent Iran for a few more years. Don't worry, though. He can't beat Zare either.

Okay, well again, the problem is that their is no penalty for challenging a call. Right now, every close call gets challenged, even if it's a long shot to be overturned because there is no reason not to. Likewise, if you're winded, just throw out a brick for a made up challenge and let you're wrestler catch a quick breather. I blame the rule, not the coaches/athletes.

Gable loses his final college match in a huge upset. Disappointing for him. But it happens. Good wrestling by Wyatt.

~300 wrestlers enter, only 10 come out without losing. This time of year, wrestling is more about losing than it is about winning.

Why do you want to be "that guy" who brings up past history that has already been put to rest? That's ugly.

Be a man that understands compassion. Leave it alone.

Yawn.

Question was asked and answered.  You're the one still on about it.

You keep yawning. Time for you to go to bed, old man.

You probably don't remember that there was no question asked nor answered.

lol @ everyone changing their tune on Gable now. Let's bring back the old threads where most of you were saying Gable was going to tech his way through the field this year and laughing at the idea anyone could have a competitive match against him.

Expand

To.be fait, lots of posters eating are their words throughout this thread . Nobody with any wresting knowledge believed Hendrickson had a decent chance of winning. A few said, maybe there is chance because Hendrickson is a winner, without any real conviction. Steveson was so dominant this season against a lineup of great heavyweights. To my eye he was the dominant NCAA wrestler I have ever seen.

As crazy as this sounds PSU underperformed - even after scoring 4.5 pts more than last year.  Out of their 10 AA's, 3 matched their seeds, 2 exceeded their seeds and 5 were below their seeds.  Such is the bar they have created.

125 - seeded 1st - NO  3rd Place - Luke Lilledahl
133 - seeded 8th - YES 5th Place - Braeden Davis
141 - seeded 2nd - NO  3rd Place - Beau Bartlett
149 - seeded 3rd - ==  3rd Place - Shayne Van Ness
157 - seeded 1st - NO  3rd Place - Tyler Kasak
165 - seeded 1st - ==  1st Place - Mitchell Mesenbrink
174 - seeded 2nd - NO  3rd Place - Levi Haines
184 - seeded 1st - ==  1st Place - Carter Starocci
197 - seeded 4th - YES 2nd Place - Josh Barr of
285 - seeded 3rd - NO  6th Place - Greg Kerkvliet

Great performances by PSU and NU.  8 All Americans has to be the record for a 2nd place team. Oklahoma State under Taylor had a solid performance with 6 AAs and 2 National champs, the best they've done for a long time. Iowa made the podium at 4th.

PSU will reload, as usual. NU has a fairly young team and will be very good next year. OSU has to reload, losing both it's champs. Iowa has to reload as well. It may be challenging for OSU and Iowa to make the podium next year.

4th place doesn't get you on the podium anymore. 2 years in a row without a team plaque for the hawks now
