I know there’s a lot of talk about how this Penn State team supposedly under performed, but I honestly believe they proved they are the best TEAM ever. All 10 wrestlers in the top 6 in the country has never been done before, and it is truly an insane accomplishment! We all know tournament scoring favors a top heavy performance (ex. 5 champs and 5 0-2 could win the tournament). IMO that’s not the best way to measure a total team. I’ve always been impressed by Minnesota’s 10 AAs (they had no finalists and two guys get 8th). Penn State has already topped that with all guys top 6 and 3 finalists. Regardless of what happens today, we have never seen a team like this before!

I’m not sure how Davis got the call of no TD for Frost but that match should have at least went to OT. 10 AAs is impressive but that was a very questionable call that allowed for it.

This isn’t the best team ever.  Not even close.

Name a team where all 10 starters were better

He can’t, just basing it off some arbitrary completely random Jimmy category like semifinal losses. Just need ja to show up and circle of hate is complete.

I would argue with the depth and FACT of 10 AA’s all in the top six, it would be the greatest dual team of all-time. Tournament scoring will probably be the 3rd best in history. “Not close”, good lawd

By far not the best team ever. As I have said over and over. This is not the Penn state team of old with 4/5 champs. Other teams have closed the gab tremdously. OK State and Nebraskas coaching staff is very very impressive and catching Penn state at an alarming rate

Yes, best team ever.  8 in top 4!!!  Others top 6!!  Holy crap!!!  Yes, no doubt best overall team ever.  No debate.

Old school iowa had 9 AAs and a r12 guy twice I think.    Similar.   I think one of them was 5 champs too.

Saying it over and over doesn’t make you right @jajensen09, just solidifies the idiocy. Here come the herd of Nebraska 7th placers, and this is why the dual went 31-7. Another beatdown.

Penn State doesn’t quit on the backside like Lovett did last year. THAT is coaching and culture

Eight in the top four and all in the top six — despite Kerk’s injury — is insane.

Wait a minute. Caviera needs to show up before we lock the haterade room.

Keep telling yourself that.

Look at what each team graduates and fills those slots with. The alarming issue will be whether PSU threatens 10AAs again next year and a 30+ point margin of victory at NCAAs.

We knew the team score wouldn't be close before the tournament even started. They're 50 points ahead of second place, and that lead is growing.

I mean.  Do you need champs or a balanced team.   When you assign accolades to yourselves you can’t seem to agree on the rules now can you.

Both are nice. We can still stay more objective though with tournament points and the AA numbers. I would use that to argue some assertions, but it’s neither here nor there really.

I don’t have a problem with Iowa or Nebraska, just a dislike of Jimmy and ja’s operations. I generally like and respect Nebraska, it’s only personal with a certain poster. Especially when he starts calling out coaches.

@jajensen09, did you know that Penn State’s lowest placer is higher than 60% of Nebraska’s team?

158 points and counting

What is their current cap?

The PSU guys seem pretty ready to find bonus points on the backside. LL pins Ramos. Even Beau was close to pinfellery in this 3rd place bout. That is IMPRESSIVE  team effort. For the team.

Often wrong, but never in doubt.

8 guys in the top 3 is just ridiculous!! AND we all know Kerk would have very likely taken third even with a bum knee if he chose to wrestle. They have a great chance to set the points record too. Best team ever without a doubt now!

This Penn State squad is 4 points from breaking their all time scoring record set last year.

They just showed us all how damn tough they are .

Sorry, I wish I hadn’t engaged and hope all your guys win tonight. People on the sidelines criticizing anyone out there involved in this setting is wrong, Man in the Arena principle.
