Pretty sure not.

Taylor didn't "give up" on Jordan Williams. Williams actions resulted in his dismissal from the team. It never had anything to do with his ability on the mat. An incoming coach needs to set a precedent of expectations.

Williams is an R16 guy at best.

Williams has been both good and inconsistent.  I wouldn’t be surprised to hear that DT had a role in him going to LR.  He couldn’t stay at OSU, but he landed at a good school with a good coach, who has connections to OSU.

I bet DT is happy for Jordan, as pretty much all OSU fans are. Jordan, likewise, has said he is thankful for DT and staff and still has a great relationship with his former teammates.

Well Taylor did give up on him though.  He booted him from the team.  Props to Erisman for being a good coach to his wrestlers on and off the mat and helping Jordan to succeed.  Little Rock is killing it!

I made 4 statements. 3 are verifiably true. So I assume you take issue with my guess that DT is happy for Jordan. I don't know why he wouldn't be. The OSU staff helped Jordan search for a new program to wrestle at and he ended up wrestling for a former Cowboy. Jordan was dealing with some tough issues that required some tough decisions. He's clearly in a better place now.

I could be wrong, but I think "this" meant he agreed with you!

Pretty sure you are correct. Sometimes a school/coach and a particular wrestler at a specific point in time just aren't the right fit.

David Taylor's goal is to compete for national championships, not second-tier conference championships. Jordan Williams doesn't make OSU any better. He is maybe a nutsack hair better than Carter Young, and Young isn't getting arrested repeatedly. The two parties separated on good terms, but you (I assume an unaffiliated third party) seem to be the only one hurt by the situation. That's loser behavior. Be better.

Hammer used "are" later in the sentence rather than "is"...Hammer was lumping them in together.

You may be giving Ham a lot of credit!

Now that you've referred to Ham as Ham, moving forward I will not be able to get the picture of Ham out of my head every time I see Ham post

So...the BEST he could do as a Soph is...exactly what he did last year despite just beating two top 10 ranked kids who he'd lost to earlier in the season?

It's also sooo clear how talented this kid is.

How do you come to that conclusion? I'm genuinely curious?

How do you know?  Report is he damaged university property and it was a least strike 3.  How do you know DT even had a say in it and not simply a university decision?

His duck under's are so smooth and vintage OK State. He is a great scrambler and proficient in mat wrestling. IF he can put it all together he is going to be a major problem for anyone in the weight class (as we saw yesterday with Lamer and Stiles).

JW got arrested multiple times for alcohol related incidents, something Williams takes personal responsibility for and doesn't dispute.  At a certain point, a coaches' hands are tied when it comes to dismissing a student-athlete.  Much better wrestlers, including national finalists/champions, have been kicked off their teams.

"Reoccurring nightmare" is so off-base. JW is benefitting from the change of scenery. The coaching staff was bold enough to help him do just that and then helped him land somewhere too, now JW is doing well. That is a success story, not a nightmare.

JW is really a good kid and owns his past.  He's learning from it and it shows.  I hope and would not be surprised if he AA's this year.

I'm hopeful there's a NC in his future.

Something tells me if this ended up waking the kid up and he’s on a more consistent path then Taylor is fine with how the decision turned out.  Hard lessons and fresh starts are sometimes necessary.
