Relative to who others will be losing after this season, I actually think OKST could be better next year. But that depends on what Coach Taylor wants to do with the elite incoming recruiting class. But their line-up could be something along the lines of..

125: Spratley

133: McComas/Sakamoto

141: Hughes

149: Jamison

157: Travis/Routledge

165: Lockett

174: TBD (transfer?)

184: Thompson

197: Merrill

285: Doucet

would not be shocked if thompson sucks down to 174 again and jersey robb goes 184. If they want to compete long term Dee will need to grow into 174 and Thompson go 184 or they will need a transfer with a few years. would also not be shocked if they punted next season. Excited to see what Sakamoto can do he is super super dynamic on his feet but Im not sure if one season in the room is enough time for him to learn mat wrestling.

I agree. I'm just not a fan of slotting guys into weights that are fun for projections but may not be realistic. Dee is a tough one to project because of his build. I agree that it's best if he grows into 174, but he is already pretty filled, so I don't know if that's going to happen. I think OKST's next two recruiting classes are probably the most exciting in the last decade. No shade towards tOSU.

I think even the less talked about guys like Routledge can make an impact right away, he looked incredible at ironman and given the recent college landscape that's enough for me to think he could go and have success really early. Henson took 5th there and then 5th at NCAA's the next year.

I'm trying to stay in good graces of Uncle @MPhillips. I don't want to be lumped in with the rest of "those" in the back. 😉

Its my understanding there's still more room in the back.  At the very least wave as you go by.  🙂

I can't talk smack, my team is too busy acting as a meat shield for Oklahoma State in the transfer debate, what with those morally superior folks in Stillwater.

I came down from my pedestal to say thank you for your service.
