How do y'all feel about Elon Musk's personal wealth jumping by $200 billion since the Trump election? Is this the masterclass in saving America that y'all expected? Dunking on USAID - a bipartisan charity org - for inefficiencies which amount to 0.7% or less of the budget, seems like a lot of smoke and mirrors, meanwhile this dude can personally influence every decision the president makes to enrich himself. He's now got our social security numbers, bank account info, and all our data. Does that make ya feel good? Personally, I think he's enriching himself and laughing all the way to the bank.

Ecstatic that x.com will continue and the impact on free speech culture.

Ecstatic with the current path of the USA.

Love what is going on with USAID.

Cannot wait to see the savings in education and the pentagon.

As an engineer responsible for keeping personal data secure, I am less concerned about DOGE access than the people with existing access.

I asked in the other thread but what has he done as part of DOGE so far that has enriched himself?  I’m sure he probably will and the new EO contradicting a previous EO ending preferencing by prioritizing bringing white South Africans here is something I’m sure that he wanted personally, just not sure if I’ve seen it yet with DOGE (but of course it’s only been a few weeks)

It amazes me how people or politicians are worried about someone enriching their selves. While at the very same time they are getting wealthy.  Very wealthy.

Those who are squealing the loudest are the ones who are going to be exposed for their misdeeds.

President Musk is ckearly in charge and has gotten his way every single time while feeble Donny fills his diapers on a daily basis.

Funny how the wingers constantly complained about Soros influencing politics. Meanwhile, Musk has 60x more money (with corresponding "donations" amounting to hundreds of millions in 2024), billions in govt contracts, is (or was) under dozens of investigations for violations and has been put directly in charge of the govt.

But no problem with this. Nothing to see here, move along.

The hypocrisy of the wingers at it again.

Honest question. There is going to be 4 more years of this just to let you know. Will you be able to make through 4 more years of this?

The difference is that Musk aligns with the majority of people where as Soros does not.

Musk is the silent majority pushing back.  Super necessary in response to what occurred.

Hopefully not needed indefinitely.

I don’t know if this is guaranteed.  Seems to be a decent chance Trump and Musk get into an argument at some point and Trump cuts him off.

I thought, and still do think, this very thing when he appointed Musk

Any evidence whatsoever for this b.s. claim?

The election results.

They didn't vote for musk to run the country. Most of them were idiots thinking trump would be in charge, and obey the constitution.

We never vote for those appointed do we?  Hence a Democratic Republic.

He's even not allowed to be officially appointed. Everything is unofficial because it's a complete conflict of interest.

We supported Trump's Agenda 47 because it promised government efficiency, less bureaucracy, and fiscal responsibility. DOGE's alignment with these goals has been remarkably fulfilling to observe, and I'm genuinely thankful for the current leadership's efforts.

The leader needs to come from the private sector and Musk is doing an excellent job.

I'd like to see the government subsidies reduced for electric vehicles and space...

But it's not like Musk represents the AT&T of companies... the worst of big mobile providers... rather his companies represent the best... the T-Mobiles.  I can't really find fault from a merit perspective even if his companies benefit from a conflict of interest...

Here we have RV, a self proclaimed budget hawk, complaining about someone digging into spending and rooting out waste.   This is really funny.

Oh yeah, right.   RV wants more taxes but no tightening of spending except in DOD expenditures.

This was promised during the campaign.  The American public overwhelmingly voted for his agenda vs whatever the fark the other campaign promised.   What did they promise again?   Wasn’t it the same shyte they were doing.

the vast majority of Americans want this.  The fact you don’t like this is irrelevant.

Another winger lie. We didn't understand that trump would turn everything over to him, and didn't vote for that. Polling of moderates overwhelmingly demonstrates that.
