This is why iowa is still the most disliked by non-iowa fans.  At least penn state wrestlers actually wrestle.

I’ll give you Arnold but where else were Iowa wrestlers not wrestling?

In real time i thought it was 3 and 2 for Andrews, but when they showed the replay, I saw what Angel saw and could understand the change.

There were some weird ass stall calls throughout though. And some weird decisions not to call stalling. Just no consistency.

he called him mid mat return.

Lol no it wasn’t.

How long was he on the ankle 2 secs maybe only 1?

He was doing the AJ Ferrari riding technique.  Let the guy stand up so you can mat return him.  With the new rule that is stalling.

i never seen a match where the top guy was not trying to turn and called for stalling

I’ve seen it a few times, but it’s rare.  It’s the rule though.

Angelo has one more match left on his red shirt.  Where do they use it and why?  The reason I ask is because Arnold's loss tonight makes me wonder how the rest of the season plays out.

Plott, and if he wins they probably need to consider using him

I watched the second half with no sound.  Don’t recall anything noticeable that should have been called in the Kennedy match, what are you referring to?

Kueter probably should have been hit at the end of the second period, but he did actually try to turn earlier in the period and had scored nearfall at the end of the first.  Smith did not attempt to turn at all.

This is the clear winner in the predictions contest. It's stunning. Aesthetically pleasing. See how all the lines line up in a satisfying way? Besides that, it is functional and easy to read. The rest of you should be ashamed of yourselves!

The next time Intermat's IT coding bro is in the office, y'all oughta have him put in a template like those bullet/numbered lists. Make it just like this. While he's at it, have him whip up something similar for Freestyle/Greco with the weights and maybe a place to list a country abbreviation, the Gold, the Silver and two Bronzes.

As for the dual itself, knowing that one of Brands or Manning will lose almost makes up for the fact that that means one of either Brands or Manning will win.

Also, there's already two threads on the Iowa board calling for nepo-baby Nelson Brands to start. Amazing! Patrick Kennedy finally brings excitement to the lineup, but a loss against a dangerous wrestler, and that's it. One of those guys is 45-20, while the other is 60-20. Both have similar NCAA results. One was Round of 12 and Round of 16. The other was a low AA and an early out.

Here's the rub. In the same number of Big Ten Tournaments and NCAAs, Kennedy has been involved in 5 bonus point matches. Brands has been involved in one. He gave up a major decision. I'm not trying to use reverse psychomocology here, but the decision is clear: Brands should start in the post season.

riding without trying to turn

Meh he got out to the side a few times at least.  Smith’s was way more blatant IMO
