Mexico caves. They are sending 10,000 soldiers to the border. Plus, they have agreed to do other things, and they asked Trump to give them 30 days to fall in line.

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said that following a phone call with President Trump Monday morning, the U.S. has agreed to put planned tariffs on Mexico on hold for a month. The White House confirmed the move.

In a post on X, she said: "The tariffs are on pause for one month from now." Sheinbaum said her government had agreed to send 10,000 national guard troops to the border to prevent drug trafficking, specifically fentanyl. And the U.S. will work to stop weapons trafficking to Mexico, she added.

Posting on his Truth Social Platform, Trump said the two leaders had a "very friendly conversation," and reiterated the troop commitment to securing the border with the U.S. that Sheinbaum announced.

Yep RV, you do your homework like nobody's business.   He just absolutely caved.   Couldn't take it.  He only "caved" on Mexico.   Why not Canada and China?   Because of the above.   10k troops in Mexico heading to the border is a positive expecially if they can stop or curtail the inflow of fentanyl into the US.   And the US will work to stop weapons trafficking to Mexico, I'm wondering who wants those in Mexico.   If Canada does something similar, you could see tarriffs there put on pause or removed like for Mexico.   Looks like US/Mex partnership is strong as it should be.  Caved indeed.

U.S. also made concessions re: weapons. It was a token move by Mexico. He was going to cave no matter what.

Has he  caved to china or canada yet?   Not that I see.   Only Mexico who is playing ball.   Do you not remember what the goal of the tariffs is?   Better border security.   That is it.   If they move in tat direction, I guess according to you Trump will cave.   I'm sorry RV, you just can't have it your way on this one.

Trudeau got Trump to agree to what he already promised last fall, to Biden. Trudeau is doing a thing that was already in motion and you/Trump think he pried out a concession.
