..and you probably think bidens entire family is guilty simply because trump called them the "biden crime family." Keep swallowing whatever he tells you.

so part of granting a pardon is admitting guilt.

Fauci, Cheney et al, all have admitted guilt.

my question is, can fauci face civil charges

Yes, traditionally, admitting guilt is an important part of the presidential pardon process. When applying for a pardon, you are usually required to accept responsibility for the offense for which you are seeking clemency.

The U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of the Pardon Attorney states that applicants must demonstrate remorse and accept responsibility as part of their application. However, a president is not legally bound by this requirement and may grant pardons at their discretion, even without an explicit admission of guilt. This has occasionally occurred in unique or high-profile cases.

If you're considering applying for a pardon, consulting with a legal expert to assess your specific situation is highly recommended.

Yes, when applying for a presidential pardon through the formal process managed by the U.S. Department of Justice, you typically need to sign documents that acknowledge your responsibility for the offense. This includes providing a statement accepting responsibility for your actions and demonstrating remorse.

That’s an interpretation of Burdick, sure.

The highest actual test of the “implied admission of guilt” theory was pretty recent.

Good find.  From the discussions I’ve heard the presidential pardon doesn’t apply to State, lower court, or civil cases.

wonder why they just to codify it instead of having judges give their opinion.

it's a regular part of the court system at other levels.

Still waiting for these winger idiots to tell me what "crime" he committed.

Fauci?  A congressional referral was sent to the DoJ for perjury regarding statements he made in reference to his support, direction, and funding of the Gain of Function research that spawned Covid 19.  And his monetary gains from the response he directed.

It was enough to prompt Biden to offer a pardon.  But it won’t protect him from State or civil suits.  It actually puts him in a box.  He can be brought in for further questioning, under oath, without the ability to claim 5th Amendment rights against self incrimination.

At first he told everyone that he had nothing to do with Wuhan.   Then it came out that he funded Wuhan.   Then he said he had nothing to do with gain of function.   Then it came out he funded gain of function.   It's a matter of lying to Congress.

I am sitting here and pondering the amount of damage this man and his co-conspirators did to the US and probably the world.  Stuff that goes beyond creating the virus. Stuff that happened during and because of lockdowns.  This is by no means a comprehensive list.

- Businesses failed and are continuing to do so

-decline of numerous mental health markers for the entire society

- increased suicide rates, especially amongst young people

- increased substance abuse stats including OD deaths and addiction.

- increase in homelessness

- Social isolation and all the negatives that come with it for old and young alike.  My mother's Alzheimer's seemed to rapidly accelerate during lockdowns.

- Kid's ability to socialize, read social cues, etc. has not been developed.  Anecdotal: High school kids are way less emotionally mature than before 2020.

- Ability to read and write amongst school children has been drastically diminished.

Etc., etc., etc.

This is stuff that I see every day.

All from a couple years of various types of lockdowns and masking.  The guy and his ilk had no clue as to what he was doing.  He was winging it and the country, particularly children, suffered and continue to do do.  He didn't even follow his own rules.  Then he perjured himself.

Of course he needed a pardon.
