IDK, if you walk the walk I think you get to talk the talk, right?  Carter is pretty frank/brutally honest about the value of his class schedule at PSU to the furtherance of his career. Collegiate sport, wrestling included is all about the Benjamín's at the level these guys engaged. Gable the entertainer shows the way, CStar has taken some of the lesson, I think.

Bo's gonna make dosh by creating a social media presence if the MMA thing doesn't pan out -- and that's a good idea IMHO. He clearly needs more coaching on how to engage on a podcast. Nikal's & Dimes not gonna be in my rotation, life is too short.

Honestly the most interesting thing to me was probably Starocci talking about NIL and his interest in the business side.  Apparently he has a bunch of non-wrestling friends that are nerds.

"Nah, I'm good."

But what if I told you it was 90 minutes (ninety, 9-0, one hour plus a whole other half of one hour) long?

I'd rather listen to a Jimmy Cinnabon/Pat Mineo double feature podcast.

I actually chuckled out loud to this one. That was good.

Carter actually speaks very highly of Iowa in the interview.  (Granted, he says Iowa fans were throwing the N word at him, but also says it didn't bother him at all and he loved the fans' fiery attitude.)

It's not necessarily a Penn State thing, i just generally find most athletes in this form to be hard to listen to.  Which makes sense, their skills are targeted elsewhere.  They tend to work better as sidekicks or just being the guest...but even though Star is the guest here, the interviewer is Bo, lol.  If the person ends up being good, I'll find my way back to the podcast.

Most athletes interviews in general I don't find that interesting or illuminating. Some people love it though!  Not all content is for everybody!

Not just you, I avoid podcasts like the plague.  I spend enough of my life listening to people talk that I'm not eager to add to it.  I checked it out only bc of this thread.

That said, they did have some interesting stories toward the last third.  (Other parts of it are a bit insufferable.)

If you want to shoot me a timestamp of where the interesting stories are, I'll give it a shot.
